Encourage the students to ask their own similar questions either as a whole class or pair activity. Exercise 4 Ask students questions which test their knowledge of the days of the week, such as ¿Cuándo es la clase? ¿Cuál es el primer día de la semana? Conversations 1 Practise telling the time with some of the following ideas:

Exercise 1Get students to do this as quickly as possible by giving a time limit of, say, oneminute.

Exercise 2See if students can add to the list with other significant dates in their ownnational or religious calendar.

Exercise 4Once the students have completed this exercise, ask them to repeat it, this timesubstituting information from the timetable on page 34. Students ask eachother about trains to Puertollano or Ciudad Real.

Exercise 5In pairs, students think of a favourite television or radio programme. Studentsask each other appropriate questions about the programme, based on those inthe exercise.
