Health in Tyler. Hope was born on January 26, 1955 in Livingston to Melvin Beard and Aline Willie Chesley Hyde. Hope worked from home as a housewife. She is survived her son, Stacy Joe McGee and wife, Lauri Di- ane of Bronson; daughter, Misty Aline Beard Haynes; and her grandchildren, Casey Joe Mc- Gee, Addison LeeAnn McGee, and Brentley Aline Haynes. Marshall was born on August 16. 1957 in Liberty to C.E. Gray and Vivian Gray, he was a mem- ber of Freeway Baptist Church in Beaumont and had lived in South Korea for 26 years and worked as a Electrical technician and loved to bar-b-que with friends, before coming back to Beaumont. Marshall was a 32 nd degree Mason, and enjoyed fishing and spending time on the lake. He is survived by his brother, Charles L. Gray and wife, Bon- nie, of Beaumont; aunts, Clau- dine Vance of Yellopine; Alma Roberts of Scrappin’ Valley and Frances Cannon of Hemphill; friends, Milton “Butch” Go- ings, James Alexander “Woody” Wood and Anthony Paul “T- Man” (Tony) Rabalais, Bruce Poland, Lanice Harper, Lloyd Rutledge, Ricky Poland, and Barry Rogers, nieces and neph- ews, and his many cousins who were like brothers and sisters, as well as a multitude of friends and relatives in South Korea and around the world. Starr funeral home was in charge of all arrangements. VERNON RALPH HENSARLING Vernon Ralph Hensarling, 86, passed away on Friday, Sep- tember 18, 2020 at his home in Sugar Land. Vernon was born in the Goodwin Community in San Augustine County on March 7, 1934, to parents Joseph Ralph and Versie Ellen Hook Hensar- ling, he was the second of eight children. Mr. Hensarling help work the family farm and went to school PAUL JERRY HILL Funeral services for Paul Jerry Hill, 84, of San Augustine, were held Wednesday September 30th at the Piney Creek Baptist Church in Pennington with Bro. Grant Haynes and Bro. Joshua Hill officiating. Interment fol- lowed in the Hill Cemetery in Pennington. He was born on March 30, 1936, in Houston County to Jim Hogg Hill and Henrietta (Trout- man) Hill. Paul served in the US Army for 2 years. Paul moved to Houston and opened Hills Trac- tor Parts and attended several seminars and received achieve- ment awards from the Houston Chamber of Commerce. He was recognized and named in Who’s Who in 1997-1998. He was a member fo the Attoyac Baptist Church and made San Augustine his retirement home with his wife of 31 years, Mary Ann (Graham) Hill. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Graham Hill of San Augustine; sons, Jerry Hill and wife Glenda of Kennard; Gregg Hill and wife Karen of Houston and Donnie Hill of Magnolia; daughters, Paula Hill Lovelace of Kennard, Belinda Hill of Conroe; Anna Sharp and husband John of San Augustine and Susie Woods of San Augus- tine; 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. CHARLES DARRIN “C D” MALONE Graveside services for Charles Darrin “C D” Malone, 55, of San Augustine will be held on Saturday, October 10 at Redland Cemetery in San Augustine with Rev. Fred Dade officiating the service. Mr. Malone passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Nacogdoches Memorial Medical Center in Nacogdoches. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9 th from 2:00 p.m. un- til 6:00 p.m. at Garner & Son Chapel. Mr. Malone was born on March 15, 1965 and is survived by his three brothers, Lewis Malone and wife, Doris, of San Augustine; Winfred Watt and wife, Betty, of San Au- gustine; Clifford Malone and wife, Tasha, of Lithonia, GA; two sisters, Fannie Holman and husband, Rev. Daniel, of San Augustine; Darlene Jones and husband, Earl, of Tyler; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be at Mountain View Fu- neral Home and Cemetery in Reno, Nevada. Toby was born June 2, 1938, in San Augustine, Texas, to Marvin and Leona Hallmark Whitehead. He was retired from the Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Whitehead and Leona Hallmark Whitehead Allen. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Holt; his brother, Jim- my Allen; his daughter, Judith Marie McClellan; five grand- children and nine great-children. SAES OUTDOOR CLASSROOM GETTING READY FOR FALL San Augustine Master Gar- dener’s Master Gardeners are members of the local commu- nity who take an active interest in their lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers and gardens. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and to help others, and able to com- municate with diverse groups of people. What really sets Master Gar- deners apart from other home gardeners is their special train- ing in horticulture. In exchange for their training, persons who become Master Gardeners con- tribute time as volunteers, work- ing through their Extension office to provide horticultural- related information to their communities. In exchange for training, par- ticipants are asked to volunteer time to their County Extension program. Who Are The Master Gardeners? At least 50 hours of volunteer service within one year follow- ing the training is required to earn the title of “Texas Master Gardener.” San Augustine Master Gar- dener’s workday at San Augus- tine The type of service done by Master Gardeners Elementary Outdoor Classroom varies ac- cording to community needs, and the abilities and interests of the Master Gardeners. Master Gardeners may speak to local groups and conduct workshops. Some projects the San Augus- tine County Master Gardener’s work on are maintain the San Augustine Elementary School Outdoor Garden, work with 4-H youth, conduct classes at the Elementary school in conjunc- tion with Learn, Grow, Eat & Go program. Master Gardeners are repre- sentatives of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M System. Mary Louise “Hope” Beard, 65, of Henderson, passed away Saturday, October 3rd, at U.T. Health in Tyler.

Hope was born on January 26, 1955 in Livingston to Melvin Beard and Aline Willie Chesley Hyde. Hope worked from home as a housewife.

Memorial services for Mar-shall Alan Gray, 63, of Beau-mont, were held on Saturday, October 3rd at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill with Bro. Buddy Pratt officiating the service.
