Obama vs. Romney, who will win?

In the current presidential election, President Barack Obama is running for reelection. Just like this campaign motto, his plan for office is coming with a lot of change.

His main platforms he addresses in this election are his stances on taxes, energy, education, health care, and the creating of jobs. His plan for taxes is to eliminate

tax breaks for companies that send jobs out of the country, make sure wealthy do not pay lower taxes than the middle class, and reduce the deficit.

He plans on cutting the deficit by $4 trillion dollars over the next decade by increas-ing taxes on the wealthy, ending the war completely, and by strengthening Medicare and Medicaid by reducing fraud. Obama supports the development of the US’s 100-year supply of natural gas, has a goal to double fuel economy of all automobiles by 2025, and has another goal to cut the US’s foreign oil imports in half by 2020.

For education, Obama wants to cut tuition growth in half over the next decade for college students. For health care, he wants to keep his insurance plan Obamacare intact, strengthen Medi-care, change policies for insurance companies so they do not charge women more than men, and he has made The Affordable Care Act to make sure insurance companies can-not just drop customers from their coverage when they get sick.

As for the creating of jobs he plans to bring back jobs from overseas by eliminating tax breaks for the companies who do send jobs overseas and to give incentives to the companies who keep their jobs in the states.

In the upcoming election, former governor of Massachusetts and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has many ideas for the next few years, if elected.

One of Romney’s platforms is the right to have guns. He believes that right is protected in the Second Amendment and necessary, under certain stipulations, to keep the country going and safe.

In his first day in office, he plans to give Obamacare waivers to each and every one of the states in hopes of eliminating the opponent’s insurance plan. He believes it isn’t acceptable for the upper class, who have earned their money, to pay more taxes to support the lower class, who haven’t or cannot earn their money in this economy.

He plans to secure boarders, but at the same time “grow legal immigration to grow our economy.” Romney supports the pro-life movement against abortion and believes marriage should be only between a man and woman, like stated in the Bible.

In the next few years, he also hopes to reduce taxes, spending, government programs, and regulation.

Romney plans to increase trade with other countries, energy production, human capital, and labor flexibility. Increasing new jobs is one of his most supported platforms due to this economy.

Overall, this candidate “hopes to return the power to the states and people.” One goal of Romney is to return power to small businesses because he believes small

businesses are what stimulates the economy.
