ICE HOCKEY

Ice hockey is a sport that is played by two teams on ice. The players wear ice skates on their feet and can travel at very high speeds.

They hold hockey sticks with which they push or pass a puck on the ice.

The players score by shooting the puck into a net; the goaltenders try to stop them.

Six players on each team play at once, but a whole team has over 20 players.

Bear

In Canada, you can see polar bears, black bears, and brown bears. Polar bears live on the northern ice floes and the Arctic coast. Black bears can be found almost everywhere in Canada. Brown bears are only in the west.

The prairie is an area between the Rocky Mountains in the West and the Great Lake region in central Canada. Saskatchewan and Manitoba are recognized as Canada’s “all-prairie” provinces.In Saskatchewan, a driving route known as “Horseshoes and Dinosaurs” takes you through the Cypress Hills and to many historic sites.
