CHURCH NEWS

Confessions during the pandemic will be heard in the Chapel, on Monday evening 5 pm-6:30 pm, Wednesday 8:45 am-9:00am and Saturday 4:00 pm-4:45 pm. For your protection and ours please follow and observe social distancing rules.

Beginning Wednesday, August 19, we will offer an outdoor confession option in the evening from 6 pm-7 pm for people who prefer to avoid entering the church building, weather permitting. The outdoor confessional will be in the garden area where the statue of Our Lady of Fatima is located. Confesiones durante la pandemia se escucharan en la Capilla, el lunes de 5 pm-6:30 pm, miércoles de 8:45 am –9:00 am, y sábados de 4:00 pm-4:45 pm. Para su protección y la nuestra por favor siga y observe las reglas de distanciamiento social.

A partir del miércoles 19 de Agosto, de 6 pm-7 pm se ofrecerá una opción de confesión al aire libre para las personas que prefieren evitar entrar al edificio de la iglesia, si el clima lo permite. El confesionario al aire libre estará en el área del jardín donde se encuentra la estatua de Nuestra Señora de Fátima.

The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, September 7 for The Labor Day Holiday. The church will close following the 8:15 am daily Mass. The church will reopen the same evening for confessions at 5 pm followed by the Spanish evening Mass at 7 pm. The Parish office will open on Tuesday, September 8 at 9:00 am.

First half of the year will be virtual due to Covid19. Registration begins July 27 for Religious Education classes for all children Grades Pre K- 8th and youth grades 9-12th who are attending non-Catholic schools. You may stop by the Religious Education office in the Family Life Center Monday, Tuesday, Friday 10am-3pm, or Wednesday and Thursday 1-6pm. Parent meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 23 via Zoom. Classes to begin on Wednesday, September 30 via Zoom. New students must provide a copy of their baptism certificate. Children age 7 or older who have not been baptized must provide a birth certificate. Call Yolanda Salazar or Becky Aguilar for more information at 713.774.7475.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), also called the Catechumenate, is a spiritual process and the formation steps one takes to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church; that is, to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
