How I Overcame DepressionLife is like a box of chocolate, we never know what we are going to get. If it is so bitter that it depresses you, just be optimistic and taste it bravely. I once had a hard time preparing for my P.E. test. The risingsun in the morning and the gentle breeze at dusk witnessed my non-stop running. Unfortunately, the result wasdepressing—I didn’t get full scores. Faced with the failure, I sank into deep thought. Were all my efforts in vain? No, never! If I insisted on practising, chances were that I would be successful! Holding such a belief, I spared no effort to work out day after day and finally all my hard work paid off. Now, the depressing experience is a precious memory to me. As Mr. Obama puts it, “The best is yet to come.” There are always ups and downs in our life, but do not lose heart and give in to the depressions. Hold on to your faith and challenge them optimistically, you will smooth them through and your future will be so bright.
