AbstractMan-cut retaining pile method H-steel pile method diaphragm wall method Steel cut power method and box caisson method were using in Taichung urban area when processing cut retaining pile method in work. Thru information gathering, organizing and analyzing, the research mainly carry on the discussion of why mancut retaining pile method were selected and widely used in Taichung gravel and pebble area. Specially, the durability of Man-Cut Retaining Pile Method would be mentioned thru the interview with the field worker and statistic from the past experiences and records. From the point of working progress, the control of man-cut retaining pile method is the key for Taichung gravel and pebble area. The method can keeps the construction cost low and the environment factors advantaged, only the risk of working safety which should be more carefully control. Due to the geologic limitation, mancut retaining pile has its own characteristic in Taiwan and mainly spread in Taichung gravel and pebble area . years and still as the main stream for Taichung cut retaining pile.
