Listed below is what we offer at each of our three food service offerings.

**Please note that we are unable to prepare any special cooked-to-order items. **We are unable to make any alterations in the preparation of our daily menu items to accommodate individual dietary requests.

Afternoon Wine and Cheese: Daily variety of hard and soft cheeses Vegetable crudites with dips Crackers (gluten free options generally available) Selection of Monterey County and California wines which change each day Option of non-alcoholic options: sparkling cider, coffee, teas and sodas (upon request)

Cookies and Milk: House-made cookies made with a variety of ingredients Store bought, individually packaged gluten free cookie option generally available 2%, soy and almond milk are available.

Please bring any additional special dietary food items that you enjoy with you and we will be happy to store them for you in our Main House kitchen area. They would be available upon request between 8am and 10pm in the Main House. Health Department restrictions do not allow us to do any preparation of food that we do not purchase directly.

Several of our guest rooms have a small refrigerator in them. If you would like to discuss the option of having a room with a refrigerator, please call 831-372-4341 between 8am and 10pm PST.

Please ask your Breakfast Server or Guest Services Staff Member if you have a question about ingredients in a particular food offering. Arrival:

*Check in time is between 3PM and 10PM.

*If you will be arriving past 10pm, please give us a call so that we may provide you with instructions on where to pick up your room key and directions to your room.

* There is a maximum capacity of 2 persons in each guest room. Sea View Cottage has a maximum of 4 persons. Jewell Cottage 5 persons.

* We do not have the ability to accommodate extra persons of any age in the guest rooms. Guests arriving with extra persons of any age cannot be accommodated and will forfeit any pre-payment unless the room is re-rented.

* Our facilities have potential hazards for children under 12. If you are traveling with any companions under 12 we require that you sign a Child Liability Waiver with specific requirements to ensure their safety.

*When you arrive at the Inn, the best thing is to leave your luggage in the car. Register and check in at the Main House, located at the corner of Ocean View Blvd. and Fountain Ave. Come up the large front stairs to the main entrance. We will check you in, give you a tour of the property and show you how everything works in your room.

*If you need to avoid the front entry stairs, come in the second gate up from the corner of Ocean View Blvd. and Fountain Ave. and walk up to the back of the Main House building to the screened door. You can also park on Grand Ave. and walk through the off-street parking area and bear to the right between the buildings. Enter through the screened back door. Walk through the lobby to the front desk and make sure you advise us that you are arriving guests and need to check in.

How the property is laid out:

Please park on Grand Avenue for closest proximity to your room if you are staying in the Chautauqua, China Point, Crespi, Fairlawn, Julia's, Mariposa, Rocky Shores, Seal Rocks, Seascape, Sea View Cottage, Steinbeck, Stevenson or Jewell Cottage.

Please park on Fountain Avenue for closest proximity to your room if you are staying in the Arbor, Bellevue, Breakers, Carriage House, Cypress, Fairmount, Gable, Garden, Lover's Point, Mayfair, Ocean Mist or Victoria rooms.

Parking: *We have plenty of free on street parking with no time limit surrounding the inn. Parking is plentiful both sides of Fountain Avenue (which is one-way headed uphill) and Grand Avenue, which is a wide avenue.

*We do have five off street parking places off of Grand Ave. that are first come/serve

*If you need handicapped parking, please call in advance of your visit and we will make arrangements for you to park in the off-street parking area. Please show your handicap placard or documentation when you check in.

*Please park on Fountain Avenue for closest proximity to your room if you are staying in the Arbor, Bellevue, Breakers, Carriage House, Cypress, Fairmount, Gable, Garden, Lover's Point, Mayfair, Ocean Mist or Victoria rooms.

*Complimentary housemade cookies and milk are served each evening from 8-9pm. *Complimentary generous expanded continental breakfast is served in our oceanfront dining room in the Beach House.

*Typically we serve breakfast from 8-10am but in the slower times of the year breakfast service times may be altered to ensure that breakfast items stay fresh and hot. **Please note that we are unable to prepare any special cooked-to-order items. **We are unable to make any alterations in the preparation of our daily menu items to accommodate individual dietary requests.

*No Air Conditioning-average high temperatures all year, including summer, ranges between 50 and 70 degrees. Our soft ocean breezes provide "natural air conditioning" through open windows. Oscillating Fan for the dozen or so warm days that we have each year! (warm=over 75)

Travel Directions: LOCAL TRAVEL DIRECTIONS From Highway 1 along California’s Pacific coast, take the Pacific Grove/Pebble Beach/Highway 68 West exit. Follow the signs to Pacific Grove, CA. Once in Pacific Grove, the road becomes Forest Avenue. Stay in the right hand lane of Forest Avenue and continue to Ocean View Blvd. Turn right on Ocean View Blvd., drive TWO full blocks to the Main House of Seven Gables Inn.

BASIC DIRECTIONS FROM SAN FRANCISCO AREA From San Francisco or the San Francisco Airport-take Highway 101 S. for approx. 2 hours. Take Highway 156 West, which merges with Highway 1 and follow the Local Travel Directions above. Approximate travel time is 2 to 2 1/2 hours with light traffic.

BASIC DIRECTIONS FROM SAN JOSE AREA From San Jose,CA/San Jose Airport-take Highway 101 South for approximately 1 hour. Take Highway 156 West merging with Highway 1 and follow Local Travel Directions above. Approximate travel time is 1 1/2 hours with light traffic.

BASIC DIRECTIONS FROM LOS ANGELES AREA From Los Angeles come north on Highway 101 to Salinas. Take Highway 68 West until it merges with Highway 1. Take Highway 1 South. Follow the Local Travel Directions above. Approximate travel time is 6-8 hours.
