SummaryThis paper try to reconstruct basic aspects of the religious identity of the greek academictheologians. By examining their relation with ecclesiastical forms of perception, thought andaction, such as the Revelation of God, their relation with ecclesiastical institutions, such asthe Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, and their relation of power, production and ideologywith the church administration, we emphasize that the greek academic theologians areidentified as the main characters of the ecclesiastical presence into the university and thepolitical area.

    Summary

The field of Greek songs has gradually started to comment the contemporary crisis. The certaininterest -expressed both in lyrics and interviews of musicians- is not concerning only the knowncreators with political commitment from the past, but also those artists who are characterizedas popular stars of the Greek music industry. In this essay the particular artistic discourse isgoing to be tested as a significant first sample of the expression of the traumatized atomismcultivated in Greece during the post dictatorship period. The songs which are analyzed, emitting either the dominant nationalist-populist discourse or a critical reflection about themain dimensions of the modern identities and social roles, compose an interesting corpus forthe study of narcissismwhich has been dominant in the recent past but is strongly endangerednowadays.

    Abstract

As fisheries have a vital role in maintaining the social and economic cohesion in insular areas, where the majority of the population is employed within the fishing sector, regulation andcontrol of the activity affect directly the fishing communities. Self-regulation has a significantimpact on managing effectively Fisheries Protection Areas by gaining access to local expertise, resources and developing working relationships between the fisheries professionals and thelocal control and regulation authorities. Many countries have adopted the notion of self-regulation in marine management, recognizing thus its potential as a sustainable solution tothe issue of fish stock depletion.

    Abstract

Amartya Sens and Martha Nussbaums capabilities approach exerts today only limitedinfluence in sociological theory. In this presentation I shall attempt to revisit this relationship andto establish a ground for communication between the capabilities approach and sociologicaltheory. I shall claim that sociology, through similar notions from Parsons and Giddens hasanticipated aspects of Sens theory of agency, but remains normatively incomplete. Sociologicaltheorys shift towards the notion of capability can, as I shall argue, enrich the normativecontent of the concept of agency and, moreover, to render the latter empirically fruitful.

Key words: action, agency, capability, normativity.

    Summary

The new law 3852/2010, known with the code name Kallikratis, which reformed thelocal government in Greece, boldly attempted to intergrade the local governance withthe Civil Society. Totally new institutions, deeply connected to the Civil Societyconcept, such as the Consultation Committee, Ombudsman for citizens andcompanies and Immigration Council, were established by the new law and at thesame time introduced to the procedures of local governance. It would be quiteinteresting to examine the interaction (if any) between the Civil Society and theLocal Government, in order to decide if we should proceed further in integrating CivilSociety institutions in political governance or Civil Society, because of its nature, shouldnt intervene in governance of any level.

KEY WORDS: CIVIL SOCIETY, LOCAL GOVERNANCE, KALLIKRATIS, CONSULTATIONCOMMITTEE, OMBUDSMAN FOR THE CITIZENS AND THE COMPANIES, IMMIGRATIONCOUNSILS.

    Abstract

The present work attempts to discuss white collar crime taking place in a special socialcontext, that of Greek universities and to bring it back into its everyday context. his workaims at participating in the relevant academic discussion by employing the followinghypotheses:

    - Is white collar crime in Greek academia performed in organized structures and enjoythe involvement of the administrators and legislators?

    - Is it characterized as conventional or unconventional behavior (amoral or innovativeordinary crime)?

    - Is it a consequence of the creation of the New Greek University (Law 4009/2011)which heads towards corporatization of academic research and commercialization ofknowledge?

The quality and level of education have a dominant position in the globalcompetitiveness of an economy and a society and the new school model is subjugatedto the dominant economic logic. These developments make it necessary to study andunderstand these processes, and necessitate the implementation of educational activitiesthat will orient reflection on human existence. In qualitative research, an importantaspect is the participatory movement, which has a clear ideological purpose, based oncollaboration between actors, with a view to solidarity, democracy and empowering thepersons involved in the research process. The importance of participation relates to thefact that man does not constitute an object of study, but a subject seeking the meaning ofexistence.

Key-Words: Participation, social actor, reflexivity, consciousness, habitus, interaction.
