Dear Parishioners and Friends, One widower suffers from the death of his wife, who passed away two years earlier after a short but debilitating illness. After her passing, he realized how much she meant in their marriage, in caring for their children, in the many friendships they had made together with others. He is still haunted by some questions to which he is looking for answers: “I dream about her often. Do you think I'll meet her again when I die? Will I recognize her and be able to hug her?" St. Paul the Apostle in his First Letter to the Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul confesses: " For if we believe that Jesus died and rose, so

too will God, through Jesus, bring with him those who have fallen asleep." The resurrection is not about returning to the present life or resurrecting a corpse, but about sharing in the life of God, who is not God of the dead, but of the living. Faith in the resurrection leads us to Christian hope. As retired Pope Benedict XVI said in an interview a few years back: “I'm on the last stretch of my life and I don't know what awaits me. But I know that there is God's light, that He is Risen, that His light is stronger than all darkness, that God's goodness is stronger than all evil in this world." When a loved one dies, the heart cannot be of stone, so it weeps. We are allowed to cry, we are allowed to grieve because Christ also wept over the death of his friend, Lazarus. It is a natural instinct of human nature that is triggered at the face of sorrow, suffering, and death. The Scriptures points out that our sorrow cannot become just a feeling or an emotion that in no way brings us closer to the reality of eternal life. This natural sadness is to dispel all doubts and strengthen our faith and hope in fulfilling the promise of resurrection. From this reality of pain we are to rise to the reality of experiencing the joy that flows from the miracle of Christ's resurrection and our resurrection. In Christ's death, there is no annihilation: it is a death that leads to being immersed in God, who himself took on form in the human body so that man could become immortal. With our eyes fixed on Christ, we should learn to think of the dead as living. Faith in the resurrection can illuminate the last moments of those who are leaving, and those who remain can bring relief from a painful separation and encourage them to a prayerful awareness and readiness to meet the Lord. Taking into account the critical situation in which America and the whole world found itself, our parishioners took the initiative to commission a painting of the image of St. Michael the Archangel, who protects us from the traps of the evil spirit. Thank you very much to the following individuals for their offerings toward the painting: Ken and Donna Zaragoza, Stanisława and Stanisław Szczechowicz, Józefa and Władysław Marusarz and family, Lucyna Jurkowska, Zofia and Józef Solarczyk, the Krzanowski family, the Skibiński family, Małgorzata and Krzysztof Słowakiewicz, Maria Zbela, Jadwiga Chabrzyk, and three individuals who wish to remain anonymous. If anyone wishes to make an offering towards this painting, please contact me directly. I would like to thank Mr. Jan Trzpit for all his volunteer handyman work done in the sacristy and for taking care of and organizing the votive candles before the St. John Paul II and St. Jude Thaddeus statues, as well as the vigil candles in the sanctuary. It is precisely such good people as Mr. Trzpit who give us hope that the Church is alive and that angels live among us. God bless all those who constantly support the parish of St. Faustina Kowalska through prayer, offerings and participation. May the Merciful Jesus bless everyone, lead the way of salvation and keep us from evil.

Deacon’s Hurricane Emergency Appeal In 2005 hurricane Katrina devastated the gulf

coast of Louisiana, and a group of deacons came together to form an emergency secondary responder group called, “Hope’s on the Way.” They made over 11 trips to New Orleans to help in the rebuilding of homes, as well as religious buildings damaged in this disaster. Today 15 years later, Hope’s on the Way continues to travel locally and statewide offering assistance in rebuilding after natural disasters. Hope’s on the Way has a first response outreach involving the provision of a Five Gallon Bucket filled with 14 essential cleaning supply items to flooding victims. To date, we have shipped over 3,000 filled “Buckets of Hope” valued at $90,000 worth of cleaning supplies to disaster areas in North Carolina, Florida, Louisiana, Texas and Puerto Rico. This has been accomplished through the generosity and cooperation of many pastors, deacons, parish staff, and many interested individuals. Thanks be to God.

Given this unprecedented hurricane season in U.S. history, the need for “Buckets of Hope” is greater than ever before. So, we ask for your support. Will you help Fill A Bucket? Where will you be? Although commentators and writers have found difficulty in explaining many of the details in today’s first parable in the Gospel, the general lesson is clear enough. Our Lord described an incident that happened or could have happened at a wedding festival in order to bring home to his listeners the need for being ever vigilant and ready in his service if they wish to avoid the calamity of being excluded from the heavenly and eternal nuptials on the last day. In the other parable in which our Lord uses a wedding feast to describe his kingdom, the lesson concerns those who refused the invitation and will not come to the wedding. Here it concerns those who gladly accepted the invitation. Now is the time for all of us to say "Lord, Lord, open to us." Open to us the doors of your mercy and kindness. Open to us the eyes of our understanding that we may see our defects and remedy them while there is yet time. It is up to us now to decide, aided by God's grace, where we shall be found on the last day—with the wise bridesmaids or with the foolish.

Decree of the Apostolic Penitentiary on Plenary Indulgences

by Apostolic Penitentiary, Cardinal Mauro Piacenza This year, in the current circumstances due to the “Covid-19” pandemic, the Plenary Indulgences for the deceased faithful will be extended throughout the entire month of November, with adaptation of works and conditions to guarantee the safety of the faithful. This Apostolic Penitentiary has received many petitions from holy Pastors who have asked that this year, due to the "Covid-19" epidemic, pious works be commuted in order to obtain the Plenary Indulgences applicable to souls in Purgatory, in accordance with the Manual of Indulgences (conc. 29, § 1). For this reason, the Apostolic Penitentiary, on the special mandate of His Holiness Pope Francis, willingly establishes and decides that this year, in order to avoid gatherings where they are forbidden: a. the Plenary Indulgence for those who visit a cemetery and pray for the deceased, even if only mentally, normally established only on the individual days from 1 to 8 November, may be transferred to other days of the same month, until its end. These days, freely chosen by the individual believers, may also be separate from each other; b. the Plenary Indulgence of 2 November, established on the occasion of the Commemoration of all the deceased faithful for those who piously visit a church or oratory and recite the “Our Father” and the “Creed” there, may be transferred not only to the Sunday before or after or on the day of the Solemnity of All Saints, but also to another day of the month of November, freely chosen by the individual faithful. The elderly, the sick and all those who for serious reasons cannot leave their homes, for example because of restrictions imposed by the competent authority in this time of the pandemic, in order to prevent numerous faithful from crowding into the holy places, will be able to obtain the Plenary Indulgence as long as they join spiritually with all the other faithful, completely detached from sin and with the intention of complying as soon as possible with the three usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and prayer according to the Holy Father's intentions), before an image of Jesus or the Blessed Virgin Mary, recite pious prayers for the deceased, for example, Lauds and Vespers of the Office of the Dead, the Marian Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, other prayers for the deceased dearest to the faithful, or occupy themselves in considered reading of one of the Gospel passages proposed by the liturgy of the deceased, or perform a work of mercy by offering to God the sorrows and hardships of their own lives. This Decree is valid throughout the entire month of November, notwithstanding any provision to the contrary.

at this most critical time, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care.

Most Holy Mother, we beg you to reclaim this land for the glory of your Son.

Overwhelmed with the burden of the sins of our nation, we cry to you from the depths of our hearts

and seek refuge in your motherly protection. Look down with mercy upon us

and touch the hearts of our people. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and

to the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Free us from the falsehoods that lead

to the evil of abortion and threaten the sanctity of marriage and family life.

Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim that God’s law is the foundation on which

this nation was founded, and that He alone is the True Source of our cherished

rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. O Merciful Mother, give us the courage

to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a new Culture of Life. Amen.

Importance of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica

St. John Lateran Basilica in Rome is considered the mother church of all the Catholic churches in the Western world; inscribed on the church facade for all to see are the Latin words „omnium urbis et orbis ecclesiarum mater et caput” meaning „the mother and mistress of all churches of Rome and the world.” The church home of a diocesan bishop is the cathedral. Here the bishop is enthroned on the cathedra, seat or chair, the symbol of his teaching authority. Among his celebrations in the cathedral are ordinations, baptisms, confirmations, the blessing of the holy oils and celebrating great feasts of the Church such as the Triduum. The Basilica of St. John Lateran is the cathedral of the diocese of Rome, the official ecclesiastical seat of the Holy Father, the Bishop of Rome, not St. Peter's Basilica as so many mistakenly believe. Very early in his pontificate, each new pope goes to St. John Lateran and officially takes possession. The feast day honoring the dedication of St. John Lateran was introduced in the 12th century and was initially celebrated only in the city of Rome. in 1726, Pope Benedict XIII ordered a worldwide commemoration of the basilica as a sign of universal Catholic unity. The feast is celebrated on November 9 and is known today as the Feast of the Dedication of St. John Lateran Basilica. The intent behind the annual feast day is to encourage Catholics to keep strong ties to our past and to the universal Catholic Church.

Veterans Day (USA), Remembrance Day (Canada) On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day in the eleventh month of the year 1918, an armistice was signed, ending the "war to end all wars." November 11 was set aside as Armistice Day in the United States to remember the sacrifices that men and women made during the war in order to ensure a lasting peace. In 1938 Congress voted Armistice Day as a legal holiday, but World War II began the following year. Armistice Day was still observed after the end of the Second World War. In 1953 townspeople in Emporia, Kansas called the holiday Veterans Day in gratitude to the veterans in their town. Soon after, Congress passed a bill renaming the national holiday to Veterans Day. Today, we remember those who have served for our country in the armed forces in our prayers.

St. Faustina Parish Has Re-Opened the Church After a few months of being closed, St. Faustina Kowalska Parish has opened its church doors to all the faithful. We cordially welcome everyone. In our church we can easily fit 62 individuals, while observing social distancing. Members of the same family living in the same household do not need to observe social distancing and may sit together. Pews are marked accordingly. Upon entering the church, you must put on a mask/face covering that covers your mouth and nose. Then you must sanitize your hands. Then you may enter the church and check in with the greeter to ensure your name is on the reservation list. You should note that only the west doors (McVicker Avenue) are used to enter the church and the south (West 53rd Street) and north (parking lot) doors are used to exit the church. Please remember that your mask/face covering must cover your mouth and nose during the entire Mass, except for the time of receiving Communion. Once the Holy Eucharist is consumed, the mask must be placed back on. Communion is received by hand. If you wish to receive Communion by mouth, then we ask that you wait until the very end of the Communion line (and receive the Holy Eucharist delicately and carefully so as not to touch the priest’s or the Eucharistic Minister’s fingers). We ask that you do not come to church if you are experiencing symptoms such as a fever, cough or cold, until you have completely recovered and have no such symptoms. We encourage those who feel ill to participate in Mass which is live-streamed from our church every Sunday at 7:30 am (in English) and at 9:00 am (in Polish). In order to attend Mass in the church in person, you must make a reservation prior to 3:00 pm on Friday by calling the parish office at 773-767-2411 for the English Masses or Maria Horbal at 773-842-4999 for the Polish Masses. You must provide your first and last name, the number of individuals attending and your telephone number. Sunday Masses are celebrated in our church at the following times: Saturday-4:30 pm (English); Sunday-7:30 am (English), 9:00 am (Polish), 10:30 am (English), 12:30 pm (Polish), and 7:00 pm (Polish). Confessions are heard on Saturday from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm. A Mass in English is celebrated Monday through Friday at 7:30 am. A Mass in Polish is celebrated Monday through Saturday at 8:30 am. May the Merciful Jesus abundantly bless all of you.

Vigil Candles For twenty-four hours a day, two candles burn at either side of the tabernacle and two more before the Our Lady of Fatima statue. The candles represent our presence and our prayer in a holy place. If you would like to, you may sponsor two vigil candles at the tabernacle or two vigil candles before the Our Lady of Fatima statue. The suggested offering to sponsor one candle is $10. Offerings for the vigil candles can be made in a plain envelope from home and placed together with your Sunday offering or dropped through the mail slot of the parish office. Please remember to write your name, address and telephone number on the envelope, the number of candles and which candles you are sponsoring. Candles may be offered in honor of a child being baptized or receiving First Holy Communion, a couple getting married, or someone who is ill. Candles may also be offered in memory of a beloved deceased individual. May the Mother of God through the Merciful Jesus intercede many favors for everyone. Proceeds from these vigil candles will be used towards liturgical vestments, hosts, candles and further renovation of the sacristy.

Przez 24 godziny na dobę płoną przy tabernakulum i figurze Matki Bożej Fatimskiej świece wigilijne. Świece reprezentują naszą obecność i naszą modlitwę w świetym miejscu. Jeśli masz życzenie możesz sponsorować 2 świece wigilijne przy Tabernakulum lub 2 świece wigilijne przy figurze Matki Bożej Fatimskiej. Sugerowana ofiara za jedną świecę jest $10. Na zwyczajnej kopercie możesz wypisac swoje imię i nazwisko, numer telefonu, które i ile świec chcesz sponsorować. Drodzy Parafianie i Przyjaciele, Jeden z wdowców cierpi po śmierci żony, która zmarła dwa lata wcześniej po krótkiej, lecz wyniszczającej chorobie. Po jej odejściu zrozumiał, ile znaczyła w ich małżeństwie, w opiece nad dziećmi, w licznych przyjaźniach, jakie wspólnie nawiązywali. Wciąż nie dają mu spokoju pewne pytania, na które u mnie szuka odpowiedzi: „Ona często mi się śni. Myślisz, że spotkam się z nią ponownie, kiedy umrę? Czy ją poznam i będę mógł ją objąć?”. Św. Paweł Apostoł w Pierwszym Liście do Tesaloniczan wyznaje:

„Jeśli bowiem wierzymy, że Jezus istotnie umarł i zmartwychwstał, to również tych, którzy umarli w Jezusie, Bóg wyprowadzi wraz z Nim”. Zmartwychwstanie nie polega na powrocie do obecnego życia ani na wskrzeszeniu zwłok, ale na uczestnictwie w życiu Boga, który nie jest Bogiem umarłych, lecz żywych. Wiara w zmartwychwstanie prowadzi nas do chrześcijańskiej nadziei. Jak powiedział emerytowany papież Benedykt XVI w jednym z wywiadów kilka lat temu: „Jestem na ostatnim odcinku drogi mego życia i nie wiem, co mnie czeka. Wiem jednak, że jest światło Boga, że jest Zmartwychwstały, że Jego światło jest silniejsze od wszelkiej ciemności, że dobroć Boga jest silniejsza od wszelkiego zła na tym świecie”. W obliczu śmierci bliskiej osoby serce nie potrafi być z kamienia, dlatego płacze. Wolno nam płakać, wolno się smucić bo i Chrystus zapłakał nad śmiercią przyjaciela, Łazarza. To naturalny odruch ludzkiej natury, która wzdryga się wobec smutku, cierpienia, wobec śmierci. Pismo Święte zwraca uwagę na to, że nasz smutek nie może zostać tylko wzruszeniem czy emocją, które w żaden sposób nie przybliżają nas do rzeczywistości życia wiecznego. Ten naturalny smutek ma rozwiać wszelkie wątpliwości i wzmocnić w nas wiarę i nadzieję w wypełnienie obietnicy zmartwychwstania. Z tej rzeczywistości bólu mamy się wznieść do rzeczywistości doświadczenie radości wypływającej z cudu zmartwychwstania Chrystusa i naszego zmartwychwstania. W śmierci Chrystusa nie dochodzi do unicestwienia: jest to śmierć prowadząca do zanurzenia w Bogu, który sam przyjął ciało ludzkie, by człowiek mógł stać się nieśmiertelny. Zapatrzeni w Chrystusa, powinniśmy nauczyć się myśleć o zmarłych jako o osobach żyjących. Wiara w zmartwychwstanie potrafi bowiem rozświetlić ostatnie chwile tych, którzy odchodzą, a tym, którzy zostają przynieść ulgę w bolesnym rozstaniu i zachęcić do modlitewnej czujności i gotowości na spotkanie z Panem. Biorąc pod uwagę krytyczną sytuację w jakiej znalazła się Ameryka i cały świat, nasi parafinie wyszli z inicjatywą ufundowania do naszego kościoła obrazu św. Michała Archanioła, który broni nas przed zasadzkami złego ducha. Bardzo dziękuję za ofiary na obraz dla następujących osób: Ken i Donna Zaragoza, Stanisława i Stanisław Szczechowicz, Józefa i Władysław Marusarz z rodziną, Lucyna Jurkowska, Zofia i Józef Solarczyk, rodzina Krzanowskich, Rodzina Skibińskich, Małgorzata i Krzysztof Słowakiewicz, Maria Zbela, Jadwiga Chabrzyk, trzy osoby anonimowe. Jeśli ktoś chce dołączyć ze swoją ofiarą to proszę o kontakt ze mną. Bardzo serdecznie dziękuje Panu Janowi Trzpit za wiele prac wykonanych bezinteresownie w zakrystii i za obsługę świec wigilijnych przy figurze św. Jana Pawła II i św. Judy Tadeusza oraz w prezbiterium kościoła. To właśnie tacy dobrzy ludzie jak Pan Jan Trzpit dają nam nadzieję, że Kościół żyje i że Aniołowie żyją pośród nas. Bóg zapłać wszystkim którzy nieustannie modlitwą, ofiarą i swoim zaangażowaniem wspierają parafię św. Faustyny Kowalskiej. Adoracja Najświętszego Sakramentu Adoracja Najświętszego Sakramentu odbędzie się w każdy wtorek miesiąca. Wystawienie rozpocznie się bezpośrednio po Mszy św. w języku polskim o godz. 8:30 am. Adoracja będzie trwała cały dzień, aż do czasu Mszy św. w języku polskim o godz. 7:00 pm. Proszę znaleźć przynajmniej 1 godzinę w tym dniu, aby przyjść na indywidualną modlitwę przed Najświętszym Sakramentem. Przyjdźcie czuwać, aby oddać swoje zmartwienia przed Panem. Szukamy co najmniej czterech osób, które będą obecne przynajmniej godzinę (lub dłużej, jeśli ktoś może) na zmiany w ciągu dnia, aby nie pozostawiać Pana Jezusa samego w pustym kościele. Prosimy o wcześniejsze zapisy na adorację, wpisując swoje imię i nazwisko w odpowiednim przedziale czasowym na liście, która się znajduje obok ikony św. Faustyny przy wejściu do kościoła.

Pamiętajmy o Zmarłych Miesiąc listopad w tradycji Kościoła Katolickiego jest poświęcony pamięci i modlitwie za zmarłych. Pamiętajmy naszych zmarłych,mktórych czas na tej ziemi się zakończył. Jedni odeszli w stanie łaski a inni w

stanie grzechu. Czasem śmierć przyszła za wcześnie i niespodziewanie. Najpiękniejszym darem dla nich jest modlitwa i ofiara Mszy świetej. Dodatkowe koperty w języku angielskim i polskim na listopadowe wypominki są wyłożone przy wejściach kościelnych. Niech Miłosierny Bóg wybaczy im ich grzechy które popełnili i przyjmie ich dusze do nieba. Przez cały miesiąc listopad będziemy się modlić podczas wszystkich Mszy świętych za dusze czyśćcowe.

Parkowania Wokół Kościoła Prosimy o uważne przestrzeganie wszelkich ograniczeń dotyczących parkowania w pobliżu kościoła. Nie parkuj przed domami i nie blokuj podjazdów do domów ani zjazdów na parking przy ulicy McVicker Avenue. Nie parkuj w wyznaczonych miejscach dla osób

niepełnosprawnych, chyba że masz tablicę rejestracyjną dla osób niepełnosprawnych lub kartę parkingową dla niepełnosprawnych wyświetloną w samochodzie. Nigdy nie parkuj przed hydrantem przeciwpożarowym. I prosimy zaparkować między pomalowanymi liniami; nie zajmuj dwóch miejsc. W wyniku nieprzestrzegania tych przepisów dotyczących parkowania samochody mogą otrzymać mandat od miasta, a nawet holowane na koszt właściciela.

Ku czemu podążam? Życie człowieka jest wciąż skierowane ku czemuś, ku komuś. Dążymy od tego, kim jesteśmy, ku temu, kim mamy się stać. Od życia ziemskiego ku miłości Boga – Oblubieńca. Lampa to symbol mojego życia, prostego i kruchego jak glina. Oliwa to miłość Ducha Świętego, bez niej nie zapłonę. Życiowa mądrość i roztropność to napełnianie mojego życia, wnętrza, mojej lampy – oliwą Ducha, Jego miłością. Głupota to coraz większe oddalanie się od miłości Oblubieńca w ciemność. Oddalanie się do tego stopnia, że może On powiedzieć: „Zapewniam cię, że cię nie znam”. Panien rozsądnych i głupich jest tyle samo. Mądrości i głupoty jest we mnie po równo. Ode mnie zależy, ku czemu zwrócę moje serce, za czym podążę. Jezu, pragnę, aby moje życie przez konkretne czyny miłości było oczekiwaniem na Ciebie i ciągłą gotowością spotkania Ciebie, Oblubieńca.

Rocznica poświęcenia Bazyliki Laterańskiej

Arcybazylika Najświętszego Zbawiciela, św. Jana Chrzciciela i św. Jana Ewangelisty na Lateranie jest katedrą biskupa Rzymu. Możemy zatem powiedzieć, że jest najważniejszą świątynią dla wszystkich wierzących. Jej uroczystego poświęcenia 9 listopada 324 roku dokonał papież Sylwester I. Stanowiła siedzibę papiestwa i centrum Kościoła katolickiego do początku niewoli awiniońskiej, dopiero w 1377 roku papież Grzegorz IX przeniósł swoją siedzibę na Watykan. Choć papieże rezydują na wzgórzu watykańskim, to jednak bazylika laterańska pozostaje katedrą papieża. Przed wejściem do świątyni możemy przeczytać napis: omnium urbis et orbis ecclesarium mater et caput, co znaczy: „Matka i głowa wszystkich kościołów miasta i świata”. Kościół nakazuje nam obchodzić święto jej poświęcenia z kilku powodów. Najpierw oczywiście ze względu na historię Kościoła, która przez wieki kształtowała się w jej murach, ale nade wszystko dla podkreślenia znaczenia jedności Kościoła i wszystkich wierzących, która wyraża się właśnie przez posługę każdego zastępcy Chrystusa na ziemi. To święto przypomina nam również, że wyznając wiare w Jezusa Chrystusa i oddając się przewodnictwu Ojca Świętego, tworzymy wspólnotę Kościoła świętego.

Druga Sobota Miesiąca poświęcona jest Matce Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy Msza święta będzie odprawiona o godzinie 7:00 pm w każdą drugą sobotę miesiąca od listopada do kwietnia, a po Mszy św. odbędzie się nabożeństwo do Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy. Serdecznie zapraszamy.

Otwarcie Kościoła św. Faustyny Kowlaskiej Parafia sw. Faustyny Kowalskiej po długim czasie zamknięcia kościoła otworzyła drzwi dla wiernych. Serdecznie wszystkich witamy. W naszym kościele możemy swobodnie zmieścić 62 osoby, które zachowają bezpieczną odległość. Członkowie tej samej rodziny nie muszą zachowywać odległości. Ławki są odpowiednio oznaczone. Przed wejściu do kościoła należy założyc maseczkę na usta i na nos. Przy wejściu do kościoła należy odkazić ręce. Przy wejściu do kościoła należy z osobą stojącą przy wejściu sprawdzić czy jesteśmy wpisani. Wchodzimy tylko przez główne wejście a po Mszy wychodzimy tylko przez wyjścia boczne. Proszę pamiętać że maseczka powinna być na ustach i na nosie cały czas z wyjątkiem kiedy przyjmujemy Komunię świetą. Po przyjęciu Komunii świętej należy znowu maseczkę założyć. Komunię świetą przyjmujemy na ręce. Zachęcamy chorych do uczestnictwa w Mszy świętej, która jest nadawana z naszego kościoła na żywo w każdą niedziele o godz. 7:30 rano (w języku angielskim) oraz o godz. 9:00 rano (w języku polskim). Narodowe Święto Niepodległości Narodowe święto niepodległości to polskie święto narodowe, obchodzone co roku 11 listopada, na pamiątkę odzyskania przez Polskę niepodległości w 1918 roku po 123 latach rozbiorów dokonanych przez Austrię, Prusy i Rosję. Święto państwowe zostało ustanowione w ostatnich latach II Rzeczpospolitej, przywrócone w 1989 r. Jest to także dzień wolny od pracy. Główne obchody, z udziałem najwyższych władz państwowych, odbywają się w Warszawie na placu Józefa Piłsudskiego, przed Grobem Nieznanego Żołnierza. Co roku, w Warszawie organizowany jest Bieg Niepodległości (10 km), w którym z roku na rok, bierze udział coraz więcej uczestników. Bieg Niepodległości organizowany jest przez Warszawski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji.

Św. Marcin z Tours - 11 listopada OPIEKUN: żołnierzy, krawców, karczmarzy, żebraków i hotelarzy. IMIĘ: pochodzi z łaciny i znaczy „poświęcony Marsowi”. Urodził się w Panonii około 315 roku. Wstąpiwszy na drogę kariery wojskowej, nawrócił się na chrześcijaństwo. Stacjonując w okolicach Amiens, podarował pewnemu ubogiemu połowę swego płaszcza, a następnej nocy śnił mu się Jezus, który miał ją na sobie. To widzenie sprawiło, że poprosił o zwolnienie ze służby wojskowej i przyjął chrzest. Został biskupem Tours, wybrany przez duchowieństwo i lud. Zmarł w Candes w 397 roku. Jest przedstawiany jako żołnierz na koniu, w momencie odcinania swego płaszcza, by podarować go ubogiemu.

Parish Information ~ Informacje Parafialne Baptism The sacrament of Baptism is administered in English and Polish. Due to the pandemic situation, we do not have group baptisms. Only one child is permitted to be baptized in a single event. Parents are required to attend a baptismal preparation class prior to the planned date of the child's baptism. Please contact the parish office to register your child for Baptism. Confession We invite you to take advantage of the sacrament of reconciliation every Saturday from 3:30 to 4:15 pm. You must sanitize your hands and wear a mask for confession. Marriage The Archdiocese of Chicago recommends that individuals who plan to marry should contact the parish office at least six months before the planned wedding date. Please make it a priority to reserve the date with the church first and then with other vendors. Please contact one of the priests directly or the parish office as soon as possible. Anointing of the Sick Please contact the priest as soon as possible to make arrangements in receiving this sacrament. remind you not to delay arranging for the sacrament of the sick until the person is unconscious or close to death. Holy Communion for the sick/First Friday If any parishioner, or relative thereof, is sick and/or homebound, and would like to receive Holy Communion, please contact the parish office with their name and telephone number.

Chrzest św. Sakrament Chrztu Świętego jest udzielany w języku

angielskim i polskim. Ze względu na sytuację epidemiczną, nie mamy chrztów zbiorowych.
