    TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS

    1. ELIGIBILITY: Each entrant must be a member in good standings with paid membership in the UnitedStates Bowling Congress, the Somerset-Hunterdon Womens Bowling Association and the NewJersey State Womens Bowling Association. Out of County members may join Somerset-HunterdonLocal Association by paying dues either with tournament entry fee or at the time of Tournament.

    2. AVERAGES: Classification will be based on one of the following. TAKEN IN ORDER. Ten Pin rule does not apply.a) HIGHEST 11-12 winter league average, 21 games or more, regular or substitute as listed in the SHWBA /SHBA average book.b) HIGHEST 11-12 winter league average, 21 games or more, regular or substitute in any Local WBA/BA Association. (Certification

    must be attached to application).c) HIGHEST 2012 summer league average, 21 games or more, regular or substitute in the SHWBA/SHBA (Certification must be

    attached to application.)d) HIGHEST 2012 summer league average, 21 games or more, regular or substitute in any Local WBA/BA Association. (Certification

    must be attached to application.)e) HIGHEST average in a sanctioned league as of January 1, 2013, 12 games or more, regular or substitute. (Certification must be

    attached to application.)f) IF NONE of the above, entrant must enter scratch (220 average) in all events.

    3. All substitutes MUST be members of the SHWBA, Inc. Proper affidavit of average signed by league secretary, if name DOES NOTappear in average book, to be submitted to official one (1) hour PRIOR to scheduled time to bowl.

    4. All bowlers MUST report to official in charge thirty (30) minutes PRIOR to scheduled time to compete and will be assigned to lanes.Positively NO delays or postponements allowed. Bowlers arriving late will start to bowl in same frame in which the other entrants arebowling. NO SCORE FOR UNBOWLED FRAMES.

    5. Multiple participation will be allowed in doubles and/or singles events.a) Doubles: Must be with different partners.b) Singles: Highest series bowled counts for position

    6. Prize list for net and gross scores. inners placing in both will receive one (1) monetary award, larger amount in any event.a) Singles: Can only cash once. (Highest series bowled will count towards prize monies).b) Trophies will be awarded for gross and/or net.

    7. Practice ball on each of the starting lanes for Doubles and/or Singles.. Bowlers will switch lanes for Doubles only.

    8. Members are required to wear suitable attire when participating in the SHWBA Tournament.9. If an illegal entry should be accepted through error, all fees paid on such entry shall be declared forfeited. Any and all scores rolled will

    be declared null and void. Captains are responsible to verify averages.10. CAPTAINS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF SCHEDULED DATES AND ARE RESPONSIBLE TO NOTIFY YOUR DOUBLES PARTNER OF

    DATE & TIMES TO BOWL.11. Any protest affecting eligibility of general playing rules MUST be confirmed in writing to the tournament manager within 72 hours. Errors

    in scoring must be reported to the tournament manager within 24 hours. All obvious errors will be corrected.12. In case of a tie for first place, there will be NO ROLL-OFF. They will be CO-CHAMPIONS.13. Any unmarried entrant who has not attained the age of 18 as of August 1, 2012 MUST have written guardian or parental permission in

    order to participate. Authorization must be attached to tournament entry blank.

    14. USBC Rule #319D DOES NOT apply.SCHEDULING COMMITTEE RESERVES ALL RIGHTS TO GOVERN DATES AND TIMES TO EXPEDITE THE TOURNAMENT

    15. Prize ratio: 1 out of 5 paid entries16. Premature termination of the tournament brought about by war, national emergency or emergency causes relating thereto or therefrom,

    fire, national disaster or any other reason beyond the control of the Somerset-Hunterdon USBC Womens Bowling Association, Inc. shallcause, to the extent required thereby, all advertised prizes, guaranteed or otherwise, to be prorated, in accordance with the number of

    entrants who have bowled in each of the respective events up to the time of such termination.17. NO REFUND OF ENTRY FEE AFTER ENTRY CLOSING DATE.18. Any individual winning $600.00 or more in one year will be issued a 1099 form. Social security number will be necessary.
