St. Mary’s Church, 65 Amelia Street, Barrie is holding a Bereavement Support Program this fall for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The program starts on September 5th to October 24th, 2018 each Wednesday evening. Registration is mandatory. Keeping the faithful connected Televised Sunday Mass Moves to New Channel
For the past 30 years the Sunday Mass for the TV community has been on CFTO Toronto. Starting on Sunday, September 9, this Mass will no longer be broadcast on CFTO. The Archdiocese of Toronto and the National Catholic Broadcasting Council (NCBC) are partnering to make the Sunday TV Mass available on VisionTV at 8 a.m. and Yes TV at 10:30 a.m. Please check your local listings or call the NCBC toll-free 1-888-383-6277 or visit www.dailytvmass.com for more information.

You Can Understand the Bible!
Join us for The Bible Timeline Study beginning Monday September 17th at 1:00pm (after the noon mass)
in the Canadian Martyrs’ Room of St. Margaret’s, Midland.
This study will help you better understand our faith, give you a deeper relationship with God, and will help bring about a renewal
in the parish as we all grow closer to Christ.
This study consists of 24 videos and group discussions. Each Monday there will be one video/discussion
8 sessions-Fall 18’ 8 sessions-Spring 19’ 8 sessions-Fall 19’
For this study you will need a Catholic NRSV Bible, Catholic Catechism,
and a Bible Timeline – The Story of Salvation Study Kit
The registration fee for this study is $49 The fee covers the cost of The Bible Timeline Study Kit which includes a colour-coded bible time-line chart and a study book

New School Year - Opening Mass Thursday September 20, 2017 at 9:20am
Parents, grandparents and relatives are all invited to join us for Mass this day and every day.
Children’s Liturgy Program- Sunday 9 am
Our Children’s Liturgy Program will be starting up again soon.
This program is offered a the 9:00 am Mass only and is intended for children who are old enough to attend Junior Kindergarten, up until they make their First Communion. The program begins with the children being called to the back of the church where they join the Opening Procession. Their teacher will lead the children downstairs where they will participate in the Liturgy of the Word using simplified language, discussion and activities. The children will return to their familiers during the Offertory Procession.
This year, in order that we may start the program again, we are in need of a few new volunteers to help deliver the program. If you are able to help, please contact the parish office. Anyone volunteering must obtain a Criminal Background Check, with Vulnerable Sector Screening. Also, if you know of any high school students who are interested, this would be a great way to earn some volunteer hours. Thank You.
