Recommendation For FRGH Upgrade

Starting with LN1.0 18.15-14 eNB SW load is delivered with BTSOM activated. It is strictly recommended to use the Ethernet port of RRH during SW update!

Switch power off on eNB system. Plug out fibre optic cable and SFP module on RRH. Connect the twisted pair cable of our local maintenance terminal (LMT) with the RRH. Switch power on again. Ping to 192.168.255.69 should work.

SW Download To FRGHAny web browser can be used for installation. Set following address and port number in the address line of the web browser: Select TestManager Select SWDL for SW Download Set the data as shown on the slide

Expected outcome.

Set the file name with extension e.g. FRRH3-SW_00001569.LAR

New SW is activated on FRGH.

Read the Serial Number from FRGH.

Reconnect FRGH To The FCMD

Power off eNB. Plug out the Ethernet cable on RRH. Plug in a SFP module and connect the fibre optic cable between eNB and FRGH (cable and SFPs on both ends must be of the same type: multi mode or single mode). Power on eNB. Check the status with Pinger

FRGH: Connection Lost

From the load 38, if FRGH does not establish the Obsailink than Ethernet interface on FRGH Service Panel is not provided also. The connection to FRGH is totally lost.

Solution: Plug out the SFP module at FRGH and turn the power off and on.
