Or write about someone you wish you'd said (or never said) 'I love you' to. 75...Why do they need to be read (or heard) over and over again? You're going to be intentionally stranded on an island for a year. What five books do you bring or what five songs do you bring (assume you can play them on something!!!)? 76...How many trips can you remember? Write a list of short, descriptive memories of all the places your family has vacationed together. If you have time, go back and write in detail about the one that calls to you the loudest. 77...What Superhero does our modern day world need? Write about a day-in-the-life of the Superhero you imagine. Don't forget to include some really COOL Super Powers! 78...Why was it important to you? Tell the story of an important moment (your first award, for example) as though it was happening in slow motion. 79...What war did you survive? Although you may not have been in any real war, chances are you ARE a veteran of some conflict. Write about your 'war' or 'wars.' 80...What is at the top of your list? List three memorable Halloween costumes or Halloween memories from your past and then write about one or all of them. 82...What could you write about? Think hard and list five people from your past that you really should have written something about by now but haven't. Circle the name of the person who stands out the strongest. Write a description or brief memoir of that person. 102...What piece of junk are you keeping? Open the 'junk' drawer in your life...it's probably in your kitchen, your garage or your desk. Take one item out of it that's been there for a long time. Write a piece that explains why you haven't thrown the item away yet. 103...What is the most boring or tedious thing you do on a daily basis? Using great verbs, write about this activity so that it seems incredibly INTERESTING. 104...Why does Weird Al do it? Think of a song you either like or hate, a song whose lyrics you mostly know. Write a parody of this song. 105...What is an unpleasant experience you had eating? Write a poem, paragraph, or something else about the experience.

106...What's a daily activity you must do that's not one of your favorite activities? Be specific. Once you have it, write a piece called 'Ten things that are worse than whatever activity you thought of....' 107...What do the outdoors do for you? In a piece of writing, explain your connection (or lack thereof) to the natural world. Where did the connection (or lack thereof) come from? Remember those words of wisdom: Show, don't tell. 108...What would the truth have done? Write about a time when honesty was NOT the best policy. 109...What's the dumbest holiday? Invent a character in your mind who thinks that particular holiday is the BEST holiday. Write about that character. 110...What is a habit that most people find unpleasant? Either write a piece that focuses on that habit, or write about a fictional character who has that habit, but write it in such a way that it doesn't seem so unpleasant. 111...What do Crayolas tell us? Write a character sketch of a person (real or fictional) who couldn't color within the lines when using his/her crayons. Find the blankest wall where you are (in can be just part of a wall, if need be) and stare at it for 5 to 10 uninterrupted minutes. Write about the thoughts that went through your head while you stared. 113...How are you different? Imagine you are in a room with 50 random strangers. List ten ways that you are PROBABLY different from every stranger in that room, then write a piece (poetry or paragraph) that celebrates those differences. 114...Why won't you forget? List six true sentences that begin with the words 'I'll never forget...' Then use all six of your sentences in a paragraph, poem, or longer descriptive piece. 115...Do you cheat or follow the rules more? Imagine your life as a board game, like Monopoly or Life. Write what several of the spaces your game-piece could land on might read, or what several of the 'Chance' cards would say. Put what you've written in a longer piece of writing. 116...Why should you have? List six true sentences that begin with the words 'I should have never...' Then use all six of your sentences in a paragraph, poem, or longer descriptive piece. 117...Do you know what's back there? Find (or imagine) a closet or cupboard in your home that you haven't opened for a week at least. Open it and look deep inside. Write what the fortune-teller said to you as he/she flipped the cards, glanced at your palm, studied your tea leaves, or whatever. Apply your writing to your present or future: your choice. 135...Who made you laugh? Write about the last time you laughed until it hurt. 136...Can you write using imagery? Without thinking too much about it, write down either the word hot or the word cold; then, write down next to it either the word wet or the word dry. Now, write a descriptive piece that attempts to make the reader feel the two words you’ve written down. 137...Where does a smile come from? Write about the person from your past or present who made or makes you smile the most. 138...Do goldfish go to heaven? 454...Where do you store it? Write about something you own that someone gave to you but you're too embarrassed to wear or display it. 455...Why don't people with working ears use them? Write about a time that someone refused to listen to some good advice. 456...Just how close to mint condition would it be if you had kept it? Write about the toy you wish you'd thought to keep. 457...Could a routine become interesting through words? Write about a person (perhaps you) caught up in a daily routine. Establish a rhythm with the story's words that impersonates the rhythm of the routine. 458...When is it not narrow enough? Write about someone who's wide and is attempting a narrow escape. 459...Can you almost stop time with your words? Write about the fastest ride you ever had, but describe only a few seconds of it...as though it was happening to slow motion. 460...Would it whine? Write about one of your unfinished projects...from the point-of-view of the unfinished project. 461...What are you saying good-bye to right now? Write about something you can safely say good-bye to today. 462...What did you think the lyrics said? Write a story centered on a song that you (or a character) has misheard or misunderstood the lyrics. 463...Where was temptation hiding the last four months? Imagine it's Spring. A New Year's Resolution has just today been broken by a character. What happened? Tell the story. 464...What onomatopoetic word still needs inventing? Either write about a setting, using a splash of onomatopoeia...or write about a place and invent a brand new onomatopoetic word that would be heard there. 465...What did its 'passing' mean to you? Choose something long gone from your life (your youthful innocence, your first bike, your chances of getting into an ivy league school, etc.) and write a fake obituary for that thing. Make it seem like a real obituary. 466...What 'chapters of your life' would there be? Make a list of your life's chapters. Choose one. Write five possible opening sentences to that chapter. Then write five possible ending sentences to that chapter. 467...What interests just don't interest you? List five hobbies that you have no interest in. Choose one. Create an annoying character who does partake in that hobby...perhaps vehemently. Write a descriptive piece that makes you like the character, despite the hobby.
