Rodrigo’s opinion….Working with a portfolio was very interesting because

I learned things about the culture of Bahia which, I did not know. I really liked to work with it. I learned about the food they eat ,their history and geography and of course some grammar!. Our teacher guide us with this work.

Sebastian’s opinion….It was difficult to select a theme from the ones we

have studied. Then, undeline the grammar points within the theme was a bit hard because we needed to revise grammar. It was useful.

The dish is indigenous Brazilian and originally was made with leaves of various trees. There are two variants of Moqueca: Bahian moqueca from the state of Bahia in the Northeast region of Brazil and Moqueca Capixaba from the state of Espirito Santo in the southeast..

1 large onion, Chopped 2 cloves garlic, Peeled and chopped 400 grams. fresh tomatoes, Unpeeled, seeded and fresh 2 red peppers, Seeded and chopped 3 sprigs cilantro, 150 grams. coconut milk,3 tbsp palm oil 600 grams. Fresh shrimp 2 cups white rice previously boiled 1.Peel shrimp, whole and must be set aside to make the sauce

HOW TO MAKE PREPARE THE DISH. Grammar point: the use of connectors (in green) and orders (in red)

First, put oil and fry the onion and garlic in a pan. Then, put the peppers. Add, the tomatoes and mix . After, add a glass of water and allow to heat until the sauce reduce, after that, pour in the coconut milk. Let it boil and cook for 10 minutes in lower heat. Add the cilantro flavor chopped. Later, place the shrimp, about 2 or 3 minutes and finally, serve over white rice.

Our teacher wanted us to work with a portfolio. This work must be done alone but we prefered to work in pairs so we selected a theme worked throught the year and added some grammar points . Finally each of us wrote an opinion That’s what we did. …..
