Award Five Star recognition will be awarded at the Student Activities Reception. The club will hold their star status throughout the entire next academic year. Incentives for star status include: 1. Advertising your accomplishment: A plaque will be displayed in the Office of Student Life, noting the club name and year(s) of Five Star Status. You will be given print materials to advertise your star status at such events as club rush. Five Star Status will be printed on club event advertisements for the entire next year. Potential members will be able to see your level of involvement and dedication by your star status. First-year clubs and clubs that do not currently hold star status, can be given materials that say “Help Us Achieve 5-Star Status!” A Five-Star symbol will also be placed next to your club name on the online student interest form, again advertising to potential club members the dedication of your club. 2. Funding: The Student Activities Committee considers many different things when determining club budgets. Holding star status assists the committee in determining a club’s involvement during the previous year. 3. Ability to set clear and concise goals: Each of the five stars stands for an important aspect of co-curricular education and student development. By focusing on the five-star parameters, you can be assured that you are providing an experience for your club members which they will be able to apply to their educational and career success.
