Penne (pen-nay) is best used in pasta salads and is eaten mostly tossed in marinara or pesto sauce.The hollow center of the pasta holds some extra sauce, so it’s even more delicious to have it that way, unlike fettucine that is in the shape of wide flat strips.

Penne Arrabbiata is one of the most popular dishes made with penne pasta. In Italian

Arrabbiata means “angry”. The name of the dish is so because the heat of the sauce; it’s made

with red chili peppers, garlic, and tomatoes cooked in olive oil.

MACARONI

Macaroni is best with meatballs, marinara sauce, Bolognese, or just plain cheese!

Mac and Cheese is America’s most popular macaroni and cheese recipe and remains an all-

time favorite comfort food. It’s also called elbow macaroni because it’s

curved like an elbow.

FARFELLE

Farfalle, meaning “butterflies” in Italian, are mostly used in salads and soups.

shape of the pasta; the pasta has ridged edges and are squeezed form the center.

Spaghetti is a thin cylindrical shaped pasta; a great favorite and can be taken with veggies, seafood and meat.Spaghetti Bolognese is a very celebrated dish; made from spaghetti and a meat based sauce. The name of the dish is after Bolognese, a place in Italy that makes the best meat-based sauce called ragu.

Many people take noodles and spaghetti are the same – but they’re not. Spaghetti is thicker and

heavier, while noodles are lighter. Also, Spaghetti originates from Italy while noodles have their

roots in China.
