    Lighting & Fans

    Use of Natural Lighting

    Replacement of incandescent lamps with

    CFL

Switch off light when not in use

    Use time switch wherever possible

Use electronic choke to reduce power

consumption by 25% Replacement of indication lamps with

    LEDs

In ordinary 60 Watt bulb, 70% energy is lost for heating it and

only 30% energy contributes for lighting

in place of 40 Watt Tubelight

Use light colours on the walls of the room.

Keep the light and fixtures clean.

Clean and lubricate the fans regularly.

Use electronic regulators for energy saving.

Payback period of CFL assuming its cost as Rs 110/- is 6 months

only. If 1 Crore 60 Watt bulbs are replaced by 15 Watt CFL for usage

of 4 hrs./day, the total energy saved will be 1200 MWh per annum.
