*Bringing In the Light of Christ and Opening Praise
Screen Step by Step
* Call to Worship (responsively) Come, let us celebrate the forgiving, reconciling love of God. For once we were lost and felt so far away; now we have been found and welcomed home. Know that God’s love is lavished upon you forever. We rejoice at the news of forgiveness and hope! Come, let us celebrate and praise the God of Love. Glory be to God! Amen!
*Hymn No. 98 To God Be the Glory Prayer of Approach (in unison) God of grace and glory, we come here this morning in this Lenten season fully aware that we are sinners, but we are not only sinners; we are weak, but we are not only weak; we fail, but we are not always failures; we have hurt, but we have also loved. We are grateful that You, God, do not limit us to the stories by which the world knows us. You see much more in us than the labels we give ourselves and each other. As we worship this morning, give us courage to defy all expectations, especially our own, and in your love become all of who we are. Amen.

Jeff Childress Morning Prayer and Lord’s Prayer *Affirmation of Faith: A Lenten Creed We believe that our lives are held within the encircling love of God, who knows our names and recognizes our deepest needs. We believe that Christ is the divine Child of the living God, and that his grace is like living waters that can never be exhausted. We believe in the birthing, renewing, enabling Spirit of God who yearns over our welfare as a mother yearns for her child.

EVERYONE IS ENCOURGED TO COME.
We believe that God is in the arid desert as well as in green pastures, and that hard times and disciplines are also loving gifts. We believe that our journey has a purpose and a destination, and that our path leads to a human glory we cannot yet imagine. We believe that in the church we are fellow pilgrims on the road, and that we are called to love one another as God loves us. This is our faith and we are humbled to profess in Jesus the Christ. Amen. *Hymn No. 140 Great Is Thy Faithfulness *Benediction *Closing Praise: screen As We Go

March Mission Focus Feed a Hungry Child Program
Did you know hundreds of kids in our local school district have no
food or very little food over the weekend? 1 in 17 students go
home on Fridays and do not have adequate
nutrition until they return to school on
Monday. Feed a Hungry Child program is a
project of Golden Harvest Food Bank and
Feeding America. It is a simple, effective
answer to the problem of child hunger after
children return home from school for the weekend. Free and
reduced breakfasts and lunches are only available during the
week. The program provides needy children with meals to take
home on Fridays. This nutritious package, weighing
approximately three pounds, contains dry cereal, shelf-stable
milk, pop-top mini-meals like Beef and Franks, Macaroni-O’s,
applesauce or canned fruit, and juice boxes.
The church collects peanut butter and
mac & cheese for United Christian
Ministries. If you would like to donate
just place your items in the Mission
Room and we will have them picked up.
