    Language (Framework, pages 1926)

Reading and Literature (Framework, pages 3564)

The English Language Arts Curriculum Framework is available on the Department Web site at

included selected readings, ollowed by multiple-choice and open-response questions. Common reading

passages and test items are shown on the ollowing pages as they appeared in test booklets. Due to copyright

restrictions, certain reading passages cannot be released to the public on the Web site. For urther

Thrughut the night, it is the supprt stas jb t keep the ans inrmed and

    entertained.

Mst Red Sx ans agree that Fenway Park, built in 1912 and ne the ldest

parks in the cuntry, is an exciting place t watch the game. Its small size (it takes

nly abut 35,000 peple t fll the seats) gives ans the eeling being right n

Park a special event. The frst thing mst ans ntice when they enter Fenway Park is the twering

a hitters best riend (by turning a rutine y ball ut int a hit) r his nemesis

A manual screbard takes up much the ace the Green Mnster. While
