Institute for the Arts & Education Youth Art Competition

Sponsored by Institute for the Arts & Education, the Youth Art Competition invited young artists in grades K-8 or ages 5-13 to

submit their original and personally handmade art work to be publicly displayed the entire weekend. The students competed for

$250 in Cash Awards and were encouraged to speak with the art professionals in the show. These young artists were exposed

to the entrepreneurship of doing something they love for a living – which is creating their art. The art show provided them with

an unmatched learning art experience. Clay Slavely, Clay artist from Asheville, NC was the Youth Art Judge.
