International Energy Statistics (InterEnerStat) Meeting (IEA, September)

–  The meeting noted the common challenges on energy statistics among international organizations such as increasing demand for statistics, reliance on government statistics that are hampered by limited resources and confidentiality and cooperation of business.

–  However, it was noted that solutions are also common such as: trainings and capacity building, shared trainings (JODI, for example), manuals and guidance, common definitions, improved dissemination, engagement with users and maximizing use of existing resource.
