Mrs. Bertha Williams Atwater,85, of Rt. 3, Durham, at NewHope Baptist Church, ChathamCounty. The Rev. C. P. Brileyconducted the services. Burialwas in the Williams familycemetery in Chatham County.
The deceased was married tothe late Frank W. Atwater andwas the daughter of the lateCharles and Josephine Wi 1-liams. She was a member ofNew Hope Baptist Church formore than 70 years and servedwith the First Bible class andSenior Missionary Circle.
