RF RepeaterBasicsRF repeaters are used where transmitter and receiver

are too far apart, or where construction materials or

appliances inside the house lead to radio signal

    attenuations.

General planning rule:If the radio path exceeds 30 meters or coversmore than 2 concrete ceilings or floors,

an RF repeater should be included right from

    the start

In all other types of plant, RF repeaters are not

normally required. Nevertheless, shouldradio control range problems occur, a repeater

can also be fitted at a later stage

In case of critical radio links, repeaters should physically be installed between the transmitter and the receiver wherever

    possible.

Device listFor runtime operation, the RF repeaters are to be configured in a way that they only repeat the telegrams fromselected devices. For that purpose, each repeater receives its device list from the central apartment unit.During commissioning, the RF repeaters repeat all telegrams.

An RF repeater repeats the following telegrams sent by the central apartment unit:

Individual telegrams sent to a device on the repeaters

device list [e.g. room setpoint readjustment on room unit

    (applies only to this device)]

Group telegrams from groups in which at least one device iscontained on its device list [e.g. room temperature setpoint

(applies to all in a room = group)]

System broadcast telegrams Central unit to all [e.g. manual

RF RepeaterBasic ConfigurationThe ERF910 repeater can also be used for repeating the telegrams from devices that require no functional connection to the

    central apartment unit.

These devices must be connected to the central apartment unit, enabling the RF repeater to obtain its respective device list

    from the central apartment unit.
