DEFENSIVE LINE STUNTSPinch - All DL take the gap to the inside of their alignment.Fan - All DL take the gap to the outside of their alignment.Twist - Stunt between N & T. Strongside DL goes 1st.Switch - DE's switch responsibilities with Strike or WhipWeak - All DL take gap to the weakside.Bull - Bull rush OL then slip to your assigned gap.Gap - Interior DL line up in assigned gap and shoot it.Tango - T & N "fan" and DE's loop to the inside.Loop - DE's crash to the inside while N & T loop outside.Axe - Ends widen and crash, no contain responsibility.

DEFENSIVE RULES1. The "strong" side of an offensive formation is the side where the Tight End is lined up. If there are 2 TE'sstrength is the wide side of the field or the 2 receiver side. If there are no TE's, strength is wide side of field.

2. The DL will always take their assigned gap out of BASE no matter what front we are in unless a stunt is called.

3. The DE's will have outside contain responsibilty and will line up outside shade of the last man on the LOS totheir side. Rocket or Laser MUST JAM the TE on every play and maintain outside leverage unless a stunt is called.

4. The LB's will have the uncovered gap to their side unless a stunt is called. S & W must flip sides. LB's MUST"re-route" anyone crossing their face.

5. The SS MUST line up on the strong side of the formation. Safeties & LB's must be aware of formations and beready to make defensive audibles.

6. All defensive personnel must play their side of the ball and protect their assigned gaps.

LB BLITZESStrike - Strong LB blitz to uncovered gap to their side.Whip - Weak LB blitz to uncovered gap to their side.Monster - Middle LB blitz to uncovered gap

43 Pass Defenses

Corners should be 5-7 yds off ball maintaining outside leverage and forcing WR inside. Safeties should be 12-15 yds off ball.

Cover 2 - ManC's have #1 RecS & W have #2 RecM has #3 Rec
