The Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) aims to promote trade facilitation as an important component of a comprehensive strategy for national and regional development. The annual Forum provides an open regional platform to exchange information, experience and practices for trade facilitation in Asia-Pacific, identify priority areas for regional cooperation and integration, and learn about new tools and services which can increase the efficiency of cross-border transactions. The Forum also intends to strengthen regional cooperation and coordination of Aid for Trade and related technical assistance and capacity building in trade facilitation.

Building upon the discussions, findings and recommendations from the two previous forums, the APTFF 2011, under the theme of “Trade Facilitation beyond Borders: International Supply Chain Efficiency,” focuses on how trade facilitation can enhance supply chain efficiency. The Session will be followed by an interactive Q&A between the operators and the participants of the APTFF 2011 on practical implementation matters.

Multimedia Exhibition The Multimedia Exhibition will take place on 4-5 October from 10.00-17.00 hours at the Foyer of the COEX Grand Ballroom, adjacent to where the APTFF sessions will be held. Exhibitors include public or private service providers, development/donor agencies, international organizations and government agencies on trade facilitation and paperless trade.

17:30 – 18:00 Interactive Briefing Session on Korea Paperless Trade System – uTradeHub In this briefing session, operators of the Korea paperless trade system will explain how the system and services in Korea have successfully evolved in step with the reform of trade laws and regulations, and showcase the latest paperless trade services developed to meet the ever-changing needs of the trade community to compete in the global trading environment. The Session will be followed by an interactive Q&A between the operators and the participants of the APTFF 2011 on practical implementation matters.

Multimedia Exhibition The Multimedia Exhibition will take place on 4-5 October from 10.00-17.00 hours at the Foyer of the COEX Grand Ballroom, adjacent to where the APTFF sessions will be held. Exhibitors include public or private service providers, development/donor agencies, international organizations and government agencies on trade facilitation and paperless trade.

Thursday, 6 October 2011 Study Visit to Trade Facilitation Facility: Incheon Port This study tour will provide participants of the APTFF 2011 with the opportunity to learn how trade facilitation measures are implemented within the port facilities. The visit will include a briefing by the Incheon Port Authority on the operation of the port and will showcase advanced trade facilitation measures such as the ubiquitous port management.
