Hearing tobeheldMay 18 2010 Comptroller Bovenzi said thisPublicHearing is a

requirement in anticipationoreceiving funding in thesumof19736or the2010011CommunityBlockGrant Program beginningAugust 1 2010through

July 31 2011 Councilmember Aldersley questioned the amount allocated forelder

careand safety for seniors and shewastodLifespan requested thatamoun The

amount theTown is receivingwasalsoquestioned ifhecensus2010 shows the

population declining for Irondequoit Comptroller Bovenzi saidweareguaranteedthe amount throughAugust 2011 and after that date the amount could be

questionable IfIrondequoit remains anentitlement community the funds should beavailable Its very important for theTown

sopulation toremain above5000o

qualify forothergrants

TheTown reviewed twoproposals and chose Stuart Brown Stuart Brownwill

provide reporting services at the endoeach year that arerequired as partohe

CDBGFunding Program aswell asprepare a5

earconsoidatedplan The fee for

StuartBrown is 90per hour Ronald Sansonewas70perhour ComptrollerBovenzi feels thisfirmwill be very good in thatwehave anorganization towork

with and stated the

fundingfor thisservice is available intheCDBG asan

administrative expense Mr Bovenzi said there is noenough worktoaddaulim

person tostaffat Town butweneed theservicesoStuart Brown in this capacity

theTownHall TheTownwouldalso liketoalert residents businesses and other

organizations tonewgrant opportunities Blue Springs Energy wouldprovide those

Pinegrove SeniorCenter Theroofat Pinegrove is leaking and areplacement roofwouldbe approximately10000heTownneeds assistancewithreviewo

alternative roofing systems preparationobids reviewoquotes and

recommendationoawardandwouldlike toretainPasssero Associates toprovidethose services forafeenotoexceed1000OakviewSchool in Irondequoit has a

simlardesign toPinegrove andwouldallowthe Town to benchmark this facilityThe funding for these services is available inCDBG funds andPasserois familiar

with Pinegrove building DirectoroDevelopmentServicesHeininger saidhewll

get all the informationonhe roofbeforewespend moneywewllkeep Passeroonhold and there isnoproblem withthat The roof is beyond repair and is leaking weareatemergency crisis in thismatter

shop Councilmember Essleyadded that

Supervisor urizowelcomed the LibraryBoardoTrustees and ajointmeetingbegan The purposeofthis meeting is for bothgroups togetonthesamepagewith respect to

the libraries Stephanie Squicciarini noted the LibraryBoardcannot bond sellorlook for

properties as far as the libraries gobutcanmake improvements to thebuildings SupervisorDurizosaid the responsibilitiesohe Library Board aregreat and there areanumbero

constraintsweface There aremany diverse opinions oneverything done inTown The




topicofconsolidation still needs tobeonthe table Weneed to lookatTown five teneven

fifteenyears fromnowWhat is finenowwillnobeinfiveyears from nowWe need to

explore whereweneed togoIt is understood that contractmaterials and demand for

buildingmaterials has increased TheTowncanonly dosomuch with thebuildings as theyareThe needfor libraries inTown is goingupThebuildings arenogetting anybiggerstill have samespace constraints TheLibrary Board still feels strongly thatanexpandedconsolidated place is stillwanted We continue putting money into the present buildings andnogetting anymoreouofthem TheLibrary Board cannot look for property

Councilmember Perticone saidallohissoundsvery famliarweneedtocomeupwith

aplan together andget the community behind usLibraryBoardMemberMiriamGanze saidshe feels the Library Board has alittle expertise in library matters that other people dono

have and the Library andTownBoardsneed tocontrol the conversation and put it out to the

public She feels theLibraryBoard alongwith the Town Board needs to takealeadershiproeand stop allowing certain people torouseupothers inthe communitywithmsinformation

Councilmember Aldersley said the LibraryBoardsordswereverywelcome She

spoke about thePermssive Referendum vote and felt the basisoherejectionwas

misinformationandthe fact that thecommunity wantedtheTown toownthebuildingnoleaseitIts aperfect time to start again

LibraryBoardMember Stephanie Squicciarini reported the Boardmetwithaconsultant

to get the community focused ononelibrary andhelp with fundraising campaign She saidthe TownBoardandLibrary Board couldjointly create fundraising efforts and findbest wayto get themessageacrosstoresidents Thepresent library buildings donohave 5o10 years

left inthem Theconsultant said she has only hadtwofailedreferendumvotes mostwere

successful which isvery encouraging

LibraryBoardMemberMiriamGanze suggested taking onestep at atimkehisTown see the valueoalibrary andcommunity cenertogether She saidwewllno

convince thenopeople but workwith theyes andundecdedWe shouldnowasteourtime talking tobrickwalheeremanyothers to share ourmessagewith TheNo
