in this document you will find all important information about our youth exchange ‘Development and Inclusion of Youngsters through Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation’ that will be held in December in Boldești-Scăeni, Prahova county, Romania. The project aims to address the issue of youth

unemployment and lack of inclusion in the labor markets, encouraging youngsters to develop business on local level. Through familiarizing participants with the concept of social entrepreneurship and business opportunities and techniques participants will have the opportunity to work on their business ideas and in a non-formal international enenvironment.

In the timespan of 9 working days participants will be encouraged to turn their business ideas into actions using the “Business Model Canvas” as a business analysis tool. The main objective of DIY SEY project is to provide important and useful methods in an international environment through non-formal learning methods for youngsters to further their chances for entrepreneurship on their local community

The youth exchange will gather 42 participants 18-30 from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, (Macedonia) FYROM, Romania and Spain who are facing economic, geographical or social difficulties and are interested in devdeveloping a business idea as/or a social enterprise; thereby providing them an opportunity to develop relevant and high-quality skills and competences regarding entrepreneurship as well as promoting the idea of social businebusiness and innovation. The activities of the Youth Exchange will take place in Boldești-Scăeni, Prahova county, Romania from 4-14 March 2019. The arrival day is 4th of december and the departure date is 14th of December 2018.

With the usage of non-formal methodology, we will lead the participants through the learning process, enabling them to enter experiential learning through analysing their own ideas using the “Business Model Canvas”, pitching inin front of an experienced jury and having the opportunity to be mentored and guided by entrepreneurs and business experts as well as experiencing successful businesses trough study visits. The participants will also be pprovided with a space and guidance to develop future initiatives that will address their community’s most relevant issues.

Participants, are expected to organize, with the support of the sending organizations and based on the learning outcomes of the activities of the Youth Exchange, one follow-up activity in their local communities. Through the follow up activities proposed by the participants, they are expected to share their experience through whichwhich to distribute their personal outcomes from the activities of the Youth Exchange and share their work. This project and its activities will provide the opportunity for the participants to develop a shared understanding of entrepreneurship and explore their opportunities and harness their potential.

The project is organized from and for youngsters. The activities during the preparation, implementation, evaluation and follow-up phase ensure active participation of young people in each stage of the project. We expect the project to make a positive change in the life of the participants and thus we value theirtheir reaction, opinion and feedback at every step of this project.

Working methods of this project are based on:-active participation in workshops, presentations, study visits;-personal and group discussions;-brainstorming and sessions for enhancing creativity;-pe-personal development activities and reflection sessions;-team-building activities, energizers, games (music, dance);-ntercultural dialogue and presentation;

The participants should arrive to Bucharest no later than 12 o'clock on 4th of March and depart on 14th of March 2019. The youth exchange will take place in Boldești-Scăeni, Prahova county, Romania. Further info

TRAVEL | tips

Venue and Acommodation

Make sure you have a valid (not expired) ID card or a valid Passport.Make sure to have your European Health Card or health insurance for the timespan of your stay in Romania.Pack in your hand luggage some “back-up” clothes and underwear in case your suitcase gets lost in the airport.KKeep all your boarding passes and travelling tickets otherwise we will not be able to make any reimbursements.Only public transportation will be reimbursed (e. g.: taxi at your own expense).

IfIf you arrive by plane, you should take the 783 airport public bus that will take you directly to Piata Unirii Station, in the centre of Bucharest. In case you decide to travel by train or bus you will arrive on Main (bus/train) station and will be picked up by our volunteers.

Romania is not part of the Euro zone and our currency is the Leu (RON). You can change money in exchange offices, banks and kiosks. You can buy a bus ticket to the center with credit or debitdebit card from the Henri Coandă International Airport, a one-way ticket with the Expres 783 bus for city centre costs 3,5 RON. In Bucharest you can use your credit and debit cards (VI(VISA, Maestro, MasterCard etc.) almost everywhere.

Reimbursement | What to Bring |

Future participants are expected to make a small research, prior to their arrival, on their local community and to look into the opportunities on national level for young entrepreneurs, the informations willwill be delivered by the participants in a presentation, by national group, of the local situation on entrepreneurship to the other participants of the Youth Exchange at the beginning of the activities. The popossible opportunities and obstacles of entrepreneurship on local level are expected to be presented. Participants are expected to do, as well, a short research on their business idea focusing on local and national llevel before attending the activities of the Youth Exchange.

WHAT TO PREPARE

Please bring something typical from your place in order to present to the other participants during the events of cultural nights. Food, drinks, traditional clothes, music, any “interesting stuff” to show, say usus some curiosity about your traditions or social behaviors, teach us some dance, play a traditional game, everything but power point presentation and touristic videos from YouTube!

Cultural Evening

Make sure to bring comfortable clothes. During March the weather in Romania can get quite cold. You will need some warm clothes.The average temperature in the south of Romania December is usually below 0 °C degrees, although it can be colder or warmer. Pack for winter. Please check the weather forecast before your travel.

Comfortable and warm clothes

Insurance cover for personal effects is the responsibility of the individual participant. You are recommended to ensure that you have adequate medical and travel insurance to cover the period of your stay in Romania. Neither our organization nor any venue used during the event can entertain claims against loss of or damage to personal property.

If you come by plane, please be sure to bring evidence of the sum actually paid (invoice) and boarding pass. Please keep in mind the travel rules of the ERASMUS PLUS Program. If you come by train or bus do not forget to buy a return ticket. Please copy your tickets before you leave your home

For the reimbursement you need:- An invoice for the tickets;- A receipt (showing that you have paid the money) – only for train and bus tickets;- printed document showing that the money was paid (receipt, bank confirmation etc.)– for the airplane tickets;- - Flight ticket (with the name of the passenger and flight details);- All boarding passes;- A printed confirmation of reservation.Please, make sure that you have all these papers when you come to theexchange (of course, the return boarding passes might be sent after the YE).

Please send to us the ticket options and route to Romania when you have thembefore purchasing for confirmation from us.

PPlease note that we cannot reimburse travel costs if you lose your tickets or wedo not receive all details and proofs of your expenses!
