This conference will showcase the role of doctorally-prepared nurses in the state of California. Conference Objectives:
1. Critically analyze current issues in preparing nurses for research and/or clinical practice roles at the doctoral level.
2. Evaluate innovative technologies designed to improve nursing research, education, and clinical practice.
3. Critique current and potential research initiatives that address health issues in the state of California.
4. Describe current and potential clinical practice partnerships led by doctorally-prepared nurses.

We dedicate the Distinguished Panel discussion in honor of Janet
Rodgers, the second dean of the Hahn School of Nursing and
Health Science. Dean Rodgers established the tradition of annual
Nursing Lectureships at USD, to build community between our stu-
dents, alumni, nursing educators, researchers, and practitioners.
