From the Desk at T Bar... Welcome to the 3rd Annual Beck/McCoy Bull Sale. What a great time to be involved in Agriculture as a primary producer; it is about time that the ones who do all the work see some profits, not just the suppliers and processors. The cow/calf business is a labor intensive venture, that only the ones with a true passion for it are still involved. Your passion and hard work is finally once again being rewarded with higher prices and an outlook stronger than I have ever seen. With supplies at levels lower than they have been in half a century or more around the world and the population growing every day, the best is yet to come.

The two breeding programs involved in this sale are multi generation family operations that are being led by young couples who are hard working and passionate just like you. Their passion is to produce seed stock bulls for your operation that will add value to your calf crop. They are also both very concerned about offering bulls that are extremely sound and trouble free and if the unforeseen should happen, they want to be the first to know. Their priority is to have your cows bred and you happy.

The McCoy program offers new generation Herefords that are highly maternal yet have the muscle, performance, bone and hair you need. These new generation Herefords still also give you what you have come to expect, hardiness, docility and longevity in your cow herd. The baldy cow, whether red or black is the ultimate cross breeding tool. The McCoy Gelbvieh bulls are also a valuable tool in any cross breeding program, offering extra performance and muscle shape giving you more pay weight. They do this without sacrificing calving ease, milk and overall maternal qualities. If you have not seen the McCoy Gelbvieh females in production, you need to go see the udders on them for yourself.

The Beck Charolais program is quickly becoming a leading source of top quality, functional, commercial Charolais bulls. The Charolais breed has been considered the ultimate terminal sire in Canada for over three decades. The Beck program offers white bulls that will give your herd the performance, hair and fleshing ability it needs to be more profitable. While maintaining calving ease and soundness, keep-ing the management requirements to a minimum.

The bulls are consistent in type and whether you need one or a trailer full, you will have the opportunity to pick from large groups of half brothers. Hopefully the weather is warm outside, but regardless, the sale is in a beautiful heated facility at Optimum!

Free Wintering...All bulls will be developed free of charge until June 1, 2012. A minimal charge will be applied should bulls need to be maintained beyond June 1.

Breeding Guarantee...We guarantee to provide a sound breeding bull capable of passing a semen test at 14 months of age. Any bull failing to be a satisfactory breeder will be replaced with a bull of equal value and quality, or a credit given towards purchase of another bull.

We have now flushed Emma 104M to Yukon twice. Each time we have flushed her to Yukon we get great results, both in terms of quantity and quality.
