You can get a broiled seafood dishes including herb crusted salmon and grilled swordfish tips, soups, fish tacos, and more. Many of the sides are gluten free as well. Not dedicated GF.

How could we not include a place called Wicked on our list?!  They boast that 95% of the menu can be made gluten free and they're not kidding. There's a dedicated fryer for appetizers like wings, fries, calamari, fried artichokes and more. They also have awesome GF pizza, pasta dishes, seafood and steak. Wicked uses very careful food prep practices and is a celiac favorite, but they are not a dedicated GF facility.

The White Lion Baking Company is a dedicated gluten-free and grain-free bakery located in Mashpee, MA. They provide all sorts of GF treats and breads to small and large retail outlets all over Cape Cod and eastern MA, and they ship. You can also pop right into the bakery for some incredible goodies! These guys are pretty much a must-do when visiting the cape.

Cafe Chew is open for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast they offer the usual suspects, including eggs and gluten-free toast as well as breakfast sandwiches on GF bread. Lunch is a fun assortment of entrees including sandwiches on GF buns, tostadas on corn tortillas, a crazy number of specialty salads, GF chowder and soups, and a kids menu. They also make their own GF treats in-house. Cafe Chew utilizes good food prep protocol but is not a dedicated GF facility.

The Pickle Jar Kitchen serves breakfast and lunch, both with great gluten-free options. For breakfast there's GF french toast, breakfast sandwiches, all kinds of hashes, muffins and more. Lunch includes typical deli sandwiches but some incredible specialty ones as well. There are also salads and a quinoa tabbouleh platter. The Pickle Jar is not a dedicated GF facility, but they do prepare your meal separately and follow excellent cross-contamination protocols.

Cape Cod Bagel has a lot more than just bagels. If you want to drop in for breakfast which they serve ALL DAY, they can make any breakfast sandwich on a gluten-free bagel or bread. They also have a wonderful selection of salads and sandwiches, including vegetarian options, deli, pizza bagels, cream cheese, lox and more. They're not dedicated GF, but they'll prepare your meal separately and are a celiac favorite.

The Quarterdeck in Falmouth does NOT use a dedicated fryer. They offer a GF breading for their fried seafood, but only order it if you can handle cross-contamination.  They also offer GF buns for sandwiches, GF pasta, and an extensive menu of seafood dishes, raw bar, and salads. Not dedicated GF.

If you're looking for good old, family-friendly American comfort food, check out The British Beer Company. They've got 11 locations across the region, including three on the cape. They boast a separate gluten-free menu with wings, quesadillas, pizza, burgers, wraps and more. All served, of course, in proper British style. Not a dedicated GF facility, but excellent food prep protocols. Ask your server for details.

The Flying Bridge is owned by the same folks who own Clancy's, so you know you'll get an excellent meal prepared safely. They offer GF appetizers like shrimp tostada, salads and a raw bar, along with sandwiches and burgers on GF rolls, fries from a dedicated fryer, plenty of excellent seafood dishes, chicken and beef, and more, all served with that incredible view. Kids menu, too. Not a dedicated GF facility.

Anejo is a small, bustling Mexican restaurant - just the way we like it!  Much of the menu is inherently gluten free, and they can adjust others to be so. The wait staff and kitchen are well-versed in food allergies, so be sure to inform your server. No dedicated fryers. They don't take reservations, so plan accordingly. Not a dedicated GF facility.

At Katie's Ice Cream in Hyannis they'll open a new container of ice cream at your request. They also have GF cones and a creative list of flavors including dairy-free chocolate coconut! Not a dedicated GF facility.

The Naked Oyster has a beautiful menu full of clearly labeled GF, vegetarian, and vegan options. They've got a raw bar and they serve lots of GF seafood, of course, along with rice, noodle, and quinoa bowls, soups and more. There are lots of GF desserts as well. They do follow careful food prep protocols, but are not a dedicated GF facility.

If you're looking for good Mexican food spot that's also family friendly, try Sam Diego's. They've  got two locations including another one in Plymouth, MA, and both have gluten-free menus. Options include quesadillas, enchiladas, ribs, and crunchy chicken nuggets. Sam Diego's is not a dedicated GF facility but they do take great care to prepare your meal safely.

If you've ever eaten at one of Not Your Average Joe's locations throughout MA, RI and NH, then you know that they've got incredible GF protocols and a really big gluten-free menu full of fun stuff like quesadillas, chicken parm, baked ziti, seafood dishes, and more. They even have a GF kids menu and plenty of GF desserts, including an uh-mazing carrot cake. Not dedicated GF, but a tried and true celiac favorite.*Note that the Hyannis location is undergoing renovations and will re-open mid-summer.

At the Ice Cream Smuggler you can not only get a gluten-free cone, but they'll gladly open a new bucket of ice cream for you and they're extremely attentive to food allergies and sensitivities. Note their new location for this season!

Clancy's is a gluten-free favorite in Dennis Port. They offer quite an extensive menu of gluten-free offerings including burgers, sandwiches, lobster rolls, broiled seafood, pasta, clam chowder, salads, risotto, nachos, baked cod, and more. They're not a dedicated GF facility, but they do take great care to avoid cross-contamination.

If you're in the mood for an authentic Irish breakfast, Keltic Kitchen is your place. Though not all of their Irish offerings are gluten free, they do have gluten-free pancakes, french toast, and bread. Be sure to inform your server about your dietary needs; not a dedicated GF facility.

Royal II has lots of great gluten-free menu options, but you won't see them on their website. Not a dedicated GF facility, but they do prepare your meal carefully and separately.

The Pancake Man is one of those fun breakfast vacation spots. They serve a gluten-free waffle "boat" loaded with fruit and whipped cream, and they make silver dollar pancakes as well. They prepare your meal separately and safely, and are a popular spot for GF locals and visitors alike. Not a dedicated GF facility.

Optimist Cafe has a separate gluten-free menu that's nice and long - it'll take more then 30 seconds to read it, and that's pretty special. From french toast and frittatas at breakfast to sandwiches, burgers, rice bowls, curries, soups and salads at lunch, you'll think you're actually eating from a "real" menu! They've got dessert, too. Not a dedicated GF facility, but they do prepare your meal separately.

LOWER CAPE

Mom and Pop's Burgers looks like one of those flashy burger chains, but it's locally owned and operated, which we LOVE. If you need a quick meal or take out, they can put any of their offerings on a gluten-free bun separately and safely.  This includes all kinds of fun burgers (including steamed!), hot dogs and lobster rolls.

Kreme-n-Kone is a must-visit on Cape Cod. They can make any of their fried foods in their dedicated gluten-free fryers, but if you prefer, you can have your meal broiled, or just opt for a lobster roll on a gluten-free bun!  Lots of dairy ice cream, too. Not dedicated GF, but excellent food prep protocols. *They fire up the gluten-free fryers at 4:30pm for the dinner crowd  Note: The Kream-n-Kone location in Dennis does not offer GF options!

All of the fried food at Mac's Chatham Fish and Lobster is gluten free. That means all customers - gluten free or not, enjoy GF fish and chips, fried clams, fries, and more, from a dedicated GF fryer. They completed a full renovation over the winter, so be sure to stop in for a gander and a bite!  Not dedicated GF, but a tried and true celiac favorite!

Karma Foods is a dedicated gluten-free and organic kitchen that sells ready-to-eat and prepared foods, all to-go. This includes stuffed waffle bowls, veggie bowls, quinoa bowls, veggie burgers and more. They also make all sorts of GF and vegan treats. Take note that there's no seating - Karma is strictly to-go only. But we guarantee you'll go back more than once. (They offer yoga as well!)

The Barley Neck Inn really cares about their gluten-free customers. They have TONS of GF options noted on the menu, including a dedicated fryer for wings, calamari and more. Entrees include fish and chips, pizzas, burgers, and an amazing dessert menu that's mostly GF as well. Not dedicated GF.

If you're in the mood for Mexican at the cape head to one of Guapo's Tortilla Shack locations.  Their self-described "simple food done well" is exactly that.  They have a full GF menu but plenty of options from their regular menu are inherently GF, from bowls to corn tortillas. We recommend the shrimp tacos. Not dedicated GF.

An inexpensive, safe meal for the whole family? Head to The Knack. They've got burgers, hotdogs and lobster rolls all available on gluten-free buns, as well as sides and soft serve ice cream. They'll prepare your order separately at your request but they are not dedicated GF.

Rock Harbor Grill has a beautiful gluten-free menu. From wood-fired chicken wings and chowder to burgers, sandwiches, seafood dishes, pasta and pizzas, you can't go wrong. And, they use Against the Graincrust, which makes it that much better! They also serve GF dinner rolls, and if you're gluten free, you know how special that is!

Viv's Kitchen's slogan is "Fresh & Fast with Flair," and they're not kidding. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and smoothies, and there are plenty of safe GF options. You can get any breakfast or lunch sandwich on a gluten-free roll, but take note of their hot sandwich options and daily Portuguese specials.  There are also grain bowls and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Viv's also makes their own GF Brazilian cheese bread, which itself is reason enough to visit! Not a dedicated GF facility but they can prepare your meal separately.

Homeport serves breakfast, brunch and lunch. Their menu is simple but satisfying, including breakfast sandwiches and benedicts available on GF bread and/or english muffins, omelettes, and GF french toast. Lunch includes grilled sandwiches deli, burgers and more. Their toaster is not GF, but they will clean the griddle and prepare your food separately upon request.  p.s. the breakfast burger looks incredible!

At Ice Cream Cafe they've got gluten-free cones and non-dairy ice cream, some of which are also vegan. They even have vegan soft serve, vegan hot fudge, caramel, peanut butter, and whipped cream – and you know what that means – sundaes! They're not a dedicated GF facility, but they'll make every effort to avoid the risk of cross-contamination, including preparing your cone with a clean scoop, and taking it from a brand-new container.

Three Fools is an excellent quick option for take out on the Cape. They offer all kinds of sandwiches and subs, all available on gluten free bread and pizza available with a gluten free crust as well. And, if you need your french fry fix, they have dedicated fryers for that, too. The staff is educated and knows how to prepare your meal separately and safely. We heard a rumor that one of the owners has celiac disease, and if that's they case, then you know they're careful!

Brax Landing offers traditional Cape Cod fare. They can put any burger or sandwich on a gluten-free bun, you can eat from their raw bar, order a broiled seafood plate, a lobster roll, and more. All with that incredible view. The best part? They use a dedicated fryer for their regular and sweet potato fries!

Karoo Restaurant has a large menu full of clearly marked gluten-free options. There are shrimp, chicken, pork and lamb dishes, with varying sauces and preparation styles from South Africa and beyond. They also offer sandwiches on GF rolls, and lots of fun side dishes too, including hummus and GF pita. Karoo has food prep protocols in place to avoid cross-contamination - be sure to inform your server before ordering.  But they do NOT use a dedicated fryer, so steer clear of all fried foods, including the Indian fritters (rats!) Not a dedicated GF facility.FYI - There's a non-GF kids menu with chicken nuggets and burgers.

Laura and Tony's Kitchen only serves breakfast, but oh, what a breakfast it is - it's like eating homemade food, right from someone's kitchen. From fresh squeezed orange juice to meat or veggie frittatas, bacon, sausage, house made baked goods, grits and more, they're really on to something there. Breakfast is only served buffet style, but If you're gluten free or have any other food sensitivities or allergies, they'll cook something up fresh from the kitchen for you. Do call ahead to let them know, and to find out what's on the buffet for that particular day. You can thank us later.

PJ's Family Restaurant is an institution in Wellfleet. They've got a gluten-free menu that may not be big, but it's fun, including rolls for sandwiches, grilled seafood tacos, clam chowder, and GF breadcrumbs for baked and broiled seafood. And, as its name says, they're family friendly! (Great for take out too!)  Not dedicated GF.

Van Rensselaer's really makes an effort to accommodate gluten-free diners.  They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with GF options clearly marked. They utilize excellent kitchen protocols, and there are even gluten-free brownies for dessert! Not a dedicated GF facility.

At Savory and the Sweet Escape, they've got GF wraps available for all sandwiches. They also have an excellent GF pizza crust, which they bake on a separate pan, but in a shared oven. Their GF pastries are unique and fun, which they do bake & store separately. Not a dedicated GF facility.

Far Land Provisions kinda does it all - breakfast sandwiches, deli sandwiches, sides, salads, soups and even their own in-house bakery. They can put any sandwich on GF bread, and they make awesome GF baked goods as well. No seating - grab breakfast, lunch or dinner to go! Request to have your order prepared separately - they're great at that. And, they make their GF baked goods first thing in the morning in a clean and sanitized kitchen. Not a dedicated GF facility.

If you're looking for a fancier option in Provincetown, The Mews is definitely your spot. The servers are educated and aware, and many of the main courses are already gluten free. They offer GF bread on the table before dinner (always fun), GF pasta options,

risottos, seafood, desserts and more. And they're way careful in the kitchen. Not a dedicated GF facility.

If you're looking for safe sushi, Mac's Fish House in Provincetown is your place. They even have GF soy sauce. Not a dedicated GF facility, but very careful in the kitchen!

Grab-n-Go is one of those special gluten-free/vegan spots that turn a good vacation into a great one. In addition to açai bowls, zucchini pesto noodles, and a full juice and smoothie bar, they have vegan soft serve. They even serve it on gluten-free cones. So the next time you're in Provincetown, go eat a vegan soft serve for us, and tell them that Gluten-Free New England sent you! (NOTE: Call before you go, as sometimes they run out!)

Check their website for the menu which is full of fun names like the "Gilded Lily" and the "Whale Watcher." They make salads too. 

MARTHA’S VINEYARD

They also sell cookies, bars, and they offer cleanses. If you'll be staying long enough, look into their new "bread program," where they make it, and you pick it up!
