Materials:Stitch holders, Yarn needle
Gauge:7 sts and 9 rows = 1" [2.5 cm] with larger needles in stockinette st.
Stitch Glossary:M1 = Make 1 st by picking up horizontal loop lying before next st and working into back of it.Ssk = Slip next 2 sts one at the time knitwise onto right-hand needle. Put point of le� -hand needle through front of these sts and knit them together.
When worked between a purl then a knit stitch it is called Yarn on needle (yon). When worked between 2 purl stitches it is called Yarn round needle (yrn). p2sso = Pass 2 slipped stitches over.

FINISHINGSew side and sleeve seams. Sew in sleeves. Fold hem at ridge to WS and sew loosely in position.
Pocket edge:With RS of work facing and smallest needles knit across sts on st holder. Starting with Purl row, work 6 rows in stockinette st.Next row: Knit.Starting with a knit row, work 6 rows stockinette st. Cast off .Fold pocket edge at ridge to WS and sew loosely in position. Sew pocket edge in position on RS and pocket piece in position on WS.
Front band:With smaller needles cast on 11 sts.Row 1: K2. *P1. K1. Rep from * to last st. K1.Row 2: K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.Rep these 2 rows until band fi ts up le� front to centre back of neck.Cast off in ribbing. Work another band the same. Sew cast off ends of bands together at centre back. Sew band in position. Pin to measurements and steam lightly through a damp cloth.
