Sure, our city has grown up since the 1950’s and 60’s but our hearts still thrill to the dance party days of yesteryear when life was simpler and holiday-makers made their own fun.Coolangatta was the heart and soul of the beach party craze and that sense of fun still shines today. You can feel the happy mood as you glide past the breath-taking veteran and vintage cars on show. They sure don’t make them like that anymore.And there’s something new this year because for the fi rst time the 70’s are being included in the memorabilia side of things. It’s strange to think of that period joining the 50’s and 60’s for nostalgia but there you go. Visitors will see many wonderful new additions to the food and drink scene and fi nd the place is pumping like never before. Fresh from the fabulous success of the beach volleyball for the Commonwealth Games, Coolangatta is ready to throw another party that you won’t want to miss. I hope I see you at Cooly Rocks On™!
