when we are trying to keep ETPE protection card into working , its again going back to TE-EX state with analram "3515 ETP ETHERNET INTERFACE FAILURE" can any body suggest what could be the problem all thecabling is fine except SFP modules we used "FCFL-8521-3" please find the attached logs for the same .

Please check your IM0 configuration as in,

For each pair of ETP-cards, 2 physical addresses from the same subnet are configured, one address for eachIM0 interface.-- IP addresses used on the IM0 interfaces cannot be used on other interfaces of the ETP cards. But the sameIM0 addresses may be used for all ETP redundancy pairs.

-- IM0 IP address type is P and attribute is I.



-- IM0 IP address should be in separate subnet. The subnet cannot overlap with other control unit, such asMCMU,BCSU etc..

Also please make sure you have these PHY interfaces UP which are for IM0 interface in both cards in "dhws"command.

ETH PHY[4] UP - ETH PHY[5] UP - ETH PHY[6] UP - ETH PHY[7] UP -If not please try to reset the bit using HW TS-BSC-HW-0209-I1..

Hi,

from the log you share, you have differences on ip confs between ETPT 2-0 and 2-1. normally we use only 1 IPfor IM0 belong the same network.you can perform a small test, try to delete in etpt 2-0 the ip (169.254.3.5/30) and delete from etpt 2-1 the ip(169.254.3.6/30).ZQRG:ETPT,2,0::IM0:"169.254.3.5":;ZQRG:ETPT,2,1::IM0:"169.254.3.6":;

than create in ETPT2-1 IM0 IP 10.10.30.11/28 with the command:ZQRA:ETPT,2,1::IM0::UP;ZQRN:ETPT,2,1::IM0:"10.10.30.11",28,P,I::;

now, you can make a ping between ETPT group 2 with the command:

ZQRX:ETPT,2,1::PING:IP="10.10.30.10";

Have also look at the creation of the PEP interfaces towards ETPE, one project faced issue:

PCU PEP interface as logical interface LI, not LVI

After creating as LI it was ok,

The pairing of the mother/daughter flashes of ETPE has also given issues if they are not on same level,

Other is normally IM0 interface, if ping works from active to standby ETPE then normal switchover should work,

One other issue is fiber connection towards router - ETPE will check if the fiber/ethernet connection is stableand available before bringing ETPE in working, need to check this with router team also if they have any packetdrop on the interface,

The electrical SFP type of the EL0 interface shall be the FCLF-8520-3. The FCLF-8520-3 uses the SFPsRX_LOS pin forlink indication. The link indication is needed for interface and equipment redundancy i.e. to trigger switchover iftheres a failurein the Ethernet interface.The FCLF-8521-3 does not have a link indication feature (RX_LOS is internally grounded).
