DEAR BOWLERS:

Enclosed is your application form for our 33rd annual New Age SeniorsTournament. Bowlers, remember, this is your local association working for you, and

your participation in this tournament will demonstrate your support for your

association

With the decline in membership, and bowling establishments closing, it is so very

important for you to show your support for the sport of bowling. In an effort to

increase entries into this tournament, we, the S-H USBC WBA, have changed the agerequirements from 55 to 50 years of age by December 31st, 2013.

So, Seniors, new or old, lets support this tournament and join us for a day of

fun. Remember, this is your tournament, put on by your association, just for you!

This year, we will be collecting old cell phones, paper towels and toilet paper,as well asmonetary donations for Safe In Hunterdon (formerly the Womens Crisis Center).

Your contribution to this worthy cause will be appreciated. Please bring your donation

with you to the Tournament.

So, bring a friend, or come alone. But come and help us keep the game of Ten Pins

alive!!

1. ELIGIBILIY: Entrant must be at least 50 years of age (50 by December 31, 2013) or older at thetime of participation in the tournament, and a member in good standing with USBC andSomerset-Hunterdon USBC, W.B.A.

2. AVERAGE (USBC)A. Highest 2012-2013 winter league average for 21 games as a regular or substitute.B. If no current winter average, highest summer average for 2013 for 21 games or more.C. Current average 12 games or more as a regular or substitute by closing date,

October 22, 2013, average must be verified by league secretary.D. If none of the above, entrant must enter scratch (200 average) in all events.

3. SUBSTITUTE: Substitutes will be allowed providing they meet all eligibility requirements.Tournament Directors to be notified one hour before scheduled squad time.

4. TARDY BOWLERS: Bowlers will be allowed to bowl in the game in progress with score tocount from frame being bowled and no pins for missed frames.

5. PRIZES: Singles: A bowler may only cash once. Doubles: A bowler may only cash once.6. ERRORS: Errors in scoring must be reported to the Tournament Director within 24 hours.7. RULE WHICH WILL BE WAIVED: USBC. rule 319d page 83; report of previous

tournament prizes, and USBC rule 319e, page 84; (Average Adjustment For Entry)

8. THE TEN PIN RULE DOES NOT APPLY TO THIS TOURNAMENT. USBC rule 319-A-2Page 82.

9. VERIFYING AVERAGES: It shall be each bowlers responsibility to verify the accuracy ofaverage before starting the tournament. Failure to use correct average shall disqualify score ifsubmitted average is lower than correct average. Prize winnings shall be based on the submittedaverage if it is higher than correct average. However, corrections in averages may be permittedup to the completion of the first game of a series.

10. ENTRY INTO NEW JERSEY STATE SENIORS TOURNAMENT: The woman who bowls

The highest gross series will have her entry paid into the New Jersey State Seniors Tournament(Singles Event). This entrant must be 55 years or older as required by NJSUSBCWBA Rules. She shall beresponsible for her entry into the Doubles Event.

11. TIES: In the event of a tie for 1st

place, there will be no roll-off, co-champions will be declared.Prize monies will be combined and divided equally.

12. Premature termination of the tournament brought about by war, national emergency oremergency causes relating thereto or therefrom, fire, national disaster or any other reason beyondthe control of the Somerset-Hunterdon USBC Womens Bowling Association, shall cause, to theextent required thereby, all advertised prizes, guaranteed or otherwise, to be prorated, inaccordance with the number of entrants who have bowled in each of the respective events up tothe time of such termination.
