The business was set up in April2013 by husband and wife, RaimundasRamanauskas and RimaRamanauskiene, who moved fromLithuania to Ireland in 2004. Rima hasbuilt up more than 20 years’ experiencein alteration industry includingoverseeing 200 people in a large factoryproducing business clothing forGerman and Swedish companies. InIreland, Rima also worked at UrgitasAlterations for more than a year whereshe learnt how to run and manage abusiness. So with this experienceunder her belt Rima set about goinginto business for herself.
With such expertise Rima canconfidently alter pretty much anythingwith every request consideredcarefully, suggestions given, quickturnaround, and of course emergencyalterations accommodated. AxiciaAlterations will turn up and take indresses including wedding dresses,making sure they are a perfect fit forthe big day. Need those trouserslengthened or shortened, that pair ofjeans revamped, or finally get thatfaulty zip replaced? That is no problemat Axicia where repairs on mostgarments can be made including there-lining of jackets, skirts, and dresses.Although Axicia does not make newclothes from scratch, vintage clothescan be given a new lease of life - forexample one customer recentlybrought in her grandmother’s jacketwhich after the sleeves were shortened
and buttons strategically placed wasgiven a more contemporary look.Axicia can also change the length andthe lining of curtains so you can spruceup your home at minimal cost.

Prices for turning up or taking introusers start from just €8 and fordresses prices start from €10. Zips fortrousers are €10 and for the back ofdresses it is €13 - however, prices arelower if you supply your own zip.
