EDITORIAL
Dear Business Friends, Dear Colleagues,
The past twelve months havebrought new challenges toour organization which onecould describe as “time for achange”. The worldwideeconomic situation currently
favors all of us and the workload throughout Jet Aviation and our group subsidiary MidcoastAviation has reached a substantial level. As a group,we want to grow significantly within the next fewyears to better serve our clients, but also to createnew job opportunities and an excellent workingenvironment for the employees of Jet Aviation. Wewill, however, make sure to find the right balancebetween growth and stability so that we cancontinue to deliver consistent and high-qualityservices to you, our clients.
At our largest sites in Basel, Switzerland and atMidcoast Aviation in St. Louis, MO we have takenthe necessary steps to meet the growing demandfor our services, and we will open one new hangarat each location in early 2007. And as we go topress, we have just learned that the EuroAirportboard of directors has approved the development ofthe south zone of the airport, allowing Jet AviationBasel to build an additional hangar, large enough toaccommodate aircraft up to the size of the Airbus380 and Boeing 747.
Half a year has passed since Midcoast Aviationbecame part of the Jet Aviation group. Bringing twocompanies together and to merge them into onefamily is not an easy task. However, we have beenvery fortunate to have accomplished this, thanks tothe highly professional people on both sides.
In North America, Jet Aviation is well known as anFBO organization, while Midcoast Aviation enjoyshigh brand recognition in the aviation industry as aleading MRO and completions company. Bothhave also earned the respect of all the major OEMsas well as aircraft owners and operators over theyears. To jointly take advantage of our bestpractices, Jet Aviation is now operating the St. Louisdowntown airport FBO while our five MRO
locations in the U.S. were merged into MidcoastAviation and have become local branches of the St. Louis-based company. With this action, weexpect a much closer cooperation to result amongstour facilities and lines of business and foresee agreat opportunity to use our mutual strengths forthe benefit of our clients.
We have also made personnel changes at the group management level, some of which weannounced in July 2006. Our U.S. business iscurrently jointly led on an interim basis by KurtSutterer, president of the group’s North AmericanMRO and completions divisions and GaryDempsey, president of our FBO, aircraftmanagement and charter business. In August 2006,Dr. Hartwig Grevener joined us from GateGourmet as new Group CFO and just recently,André Wall, CEO of MTU Maintenance in Berlin, accepted the appointment as new COO for Jet Aviation EMEA, Asia and South America. Hewill start his new assignment mid February 2007,while a new COO for the company’s NorthAmerican operations will be appointed later in the year.
Last but not least, with new ownership and a newspirit in place, we also decided it was time to renewvisually the Jet Aviation brand and corporateidentity. In the next few months you will be seeinga new advertising campaign featuring the newJet Aviation “look”. We will also be sharing withyou our newly-designed corporate brochure, amongst other various services brochures that willbe available shortly.
Please enjoy our latest OUTLOOK magazine andvisit our web site at www.jetaviation.com to stayabreast of the new developments at Jet Aviation.
Sincerely yours,
Heinz KöhliChief Executive Officer

Midcoast Aviation recently announced a partnershipwith Quiet Technology Aerospace (QTA). QTAsuccessfully introduced its self-manufactured Stage 3Hush Kits for Gulfstream II, IISP, IIB and III aircraft tothe market in January 2003.
The QTA Stage 3 Hush Kit is essentially a muffler thatallows operators to fly into airports that have very strictnoise restrictions. While in the U.S. only few airportsrequire this technology including Jackson Hole, WYand Naples, FL it is, however, mandatory at mostairports in Europe, Asia and Australia. In the near future,Teterboro, NJ and Van Nuys, CA are likely to becomethe next Stage 3 restricted airports in North America.
A Stage 3 Hush Kit installation was performed on aGulfstream III aircraft at Midcoast’s St. LouisDowntown Airport facility last month. Midcoast’stechnicians were supported by experts from QTA onthis project who also trained and prepared them forfuture installations. “We were very impressed by the
Midcoast technicians and their quality of work anddedication,” says Ben Brown, vice president of QTA. Joe Allen, Midcoast’s Gulfstream product manageradded that this collaboration broadens the company’scapabilities and its range of maintenance services toGulfstream products.
QTA also has performed several installations at Jet Aviation’s Basel, Switzerland, location and expectsanother ten Stage 3 Hush Kits installations worldwideby the end of the year.

“It is the first time I have seen this kind of project in the
five years I have worked at Zurich,” said Leon Brama,
deputy hangar chief at Jet Aviation Zurich,
commenting on a major overhaul of a Cessna C425
Conquest.
During a recent inspection of the aircraft, minor
corrosion and cracks were revealed in the wing spar.
Although the damage was very slight, should the
corrosion have spread, it could have led to more serious
consequences. When the Conquest was scheduled for
major renovations, maintenance technicians at Zurich
had to remove the aircraft’s wings in order to perform
the work. To accomplish this meant that the engines
and main landing gear also had to come off, and all
interior wiring and cabling had to be untangled. Special
stands were manufactured to support the wings after
they were removed from the fuselage, as well as for the
fuselage itself once the gear and wings were removed.
The project is still ongoing and involves a great deal of
sheet metal work, which is the part of the job that is the
most time consuming. Parts of the wing spar have to be
renewed. There will be a team of six mechanics
working on the aircraft, which should be completed
by mid February. “It is a very unusual job, but an
interesting challenge for us,” said Leon Brama.

BASEL EXPANDS AGAIN WITH NEW HANGAR EXTENSION
On any given day, Jet Aviation Basel hosts an
average of 60 aircraft visiting the facility for various
reasons such as completions, refurbishment,
painting or maintenance. Over the past six months,
the Basel location has seen significant growth and
was just recently awarded completions and
refurbishment projects for several aircraft including
an Airbus 330-200, two Airbus 319CJs and a Boeing
757-200. Currently, Jet Aviation Basel is hiring close
to 200 new employees so that the facility is prepared
to handle the additional workload.
The new projects made it essential for Basel to expand
its hangar capacity once again. Only a year ago, the
facility increased its hangar space by 30 percent when
it leased and refurbished the former Crossair hangar.
An additional new hangar is now in the planning
stages as an extension to one of the company’s six
current hangars. In September 2006, the necessary
applications were submitted to the authorities for
building a 3,320 m2 (35,736 sq. ft.) hangar that can
accommodate wide-body aircraft up to the size of an
Airbus 330/340 or Boeing 767. Construction will
start soon with an expected completion date of
February 2007, and will increase total hangar space
to 23,247 m2 (250,179 sq. ft.).
“We are glad that the airport authorities fully support
Jet Aviation’s growth at the Basel EuroAirport. The
hiring of new people and the increased workload will
have a positive economic impact in the surrounding
regions of France, Germany and Switzerland,” says
Rainer Albecker, senior vice president and general
manager of Jet Aviation Basel.
Currently, Jet Aviation is also in the planning stages
and has begun discussions with airport authorities
regarding the construction of an even larger hangar
addition at Basel EuroAirport allowing the company to
perform completions work on aircraft up to the size of
Airbus 380 and Boeing 747-400.

This summer the first two out of eight “green”
Bombardier Challenger 850 corporate jets were
delivered to Midcoast Aviation at the St. Louis
Downtown Airport facility. The aircraft are the first
of at least 41 top-tier business jets that Midcoast has
booked in for completion over the next three years.
They have also signed agreements for more than 30
other Bombardier aircraft including Challenger 605s
and Global 5000s.
Both aircraft completions projects started as a
Bombardier factory specification. However, each
will be individually customized to meet with the
new owners’ visions for avionics, paint, floor plans,
cabin entertainment systems and interior
configurations.
Mike Coate, Midcoast Aviation’s senior vice
president sales and marketing states, “The
Challenger 850s represent a major addition to the
Midcoast completions portfolio and the work
represents another step forward in the strong
relationship Midcoast has forged with Bombardier.”

Due to unforeseen circumstances, one of
Jet Aviation's clients had to deliver a Gulfstream IV
to the Palm Beach facility four days later than
originally planned. Not only was the delivery
delayed, but the client also needed the aircraft back
by the original scheduled completion date, adding
extra pressure to the complex task.
Even though the new schedule was challenging to
achieve, the interior professionals at Palm Beach were
able to deliver the jet on time. The team’s speedy
success was also due to its close cooperation with the
client throughout the process.
The complex 10,000-hour refurbishment project
included installing a Honeywell Cabin Management
System, which integrates audio and video
entertainment, flat panel LCDs, moving maps,
satellite TV as well as radio and passenger controls.
Additionally, all the woodwork in the cabin was
overhauled including a detailed credenza.
The client’s director of maintenance, Steve Lovejoy,
was delighted with the team’s dedication and the
real-time updates he received, allowing him to make
instant decisions to keep the project rolling. “The
support was excellent. The team at Jet Aviation
displayed an enthusiasm that you rarely see,” said
Lovejoy.

Jet Aviation Basel has been awarded a prestigious
contract to complete an Airbus 330-200 aircraft with
an interior created by the world-renowned French
designer Philippe Starck. An unnamed repeat
customer based in the Middle East has commissioned
Basel to finish the aircraft, which will arrive at the
center in January 2007. The completions downtime is
estimated at 12 months.
Jet Aviation Basel has been preparing for the project by
working on a full size mock-up that includes the main
lounge and private areas as well as the dining and
executive rooms. The mock-up will help the owner
visualize the interior and make any final adjustments.
The design and engineering departments are liaising
with Philippe Starck and his entourage and will set up
a team dedicated to the project.
Philippe Starck built his reputation as an interior and
product designer. He has produced an interior that has
never been realized before in an aircraft. It reflects the
owner’s desire for a light, simple and functional home
living environment equipped with amenities such as
Live TV and state-of-the-art entertainment systems.
The aircraft will receive a full VVIP-configuration and
will be fitted with a master bedroom and dressing
room, a main lounge, a conference and dining room as
well as a private salon. In addition, a business class
compartment with a business center and a galley will
be installed in the aft cabin. The aircraft will be
delivered to the customer in December 2007.

Jet Aviation recently merged its San Antonio, Texas
based Engineering Services into Midcoast Aviation.
The new company now offers a combined strength
of nearly 80 team members, with many years of
engineering expertise behind it.
“This merger has worked out well for both parties
and will directly benefit our clients. Midcoast
Aviation required additional engineering resources
to support its completions and maintenance
activities, and Jet Aviation Engineering Services
was in a great position to assist,” said John Kim,
vice president, program office and engineering.
He continued, “By adding Jet Aviation’s engineering
and inspection designees to its roster of Designated
Alteration Station (DAS) airworthiness representatives,
Midcoast benefits from expanded capacity as an
authorized DAS. This added capacity allows us to
handle an increased demand for Supplemental Type
Certificates (STCs).”
The strategic move will allow Jet Aviation to align its
business units and achieve greater effectiveness and
efficiency for its customers. The new group has also
begun a crosstraining program to ensure skills are
effectively shared within the organization.

JET AVIATION OFFERS FBO SERVICES AT ST. LOUIS DOWNTOWN AIRPORT
Clients flying to St. Louis, MO now have the option
of visiting Jet Aviation’s newest FBO located at
St. Louis Downtown Airport. The former Midcoast
Aviation facility was recently renovated and
officially inaugurated as a Jet Aviation FBO on
September 28, 2006.
As the company’s fifth FBO in North America, the
facility is actually located in Cahokia, IL, which is just
minutes from downtown St. Louis. It is by far the most
convenient airport for corporate and private aircraft
traffic to use when flying into this midwestern city.
“For the convenience of both crew and passengers,
we offer ground and support services around the
clock, plus the added benefit of being closer to
downtown St. Louis than any other airport,” said
Norbert Ehrich, senior vice president of FBO
services for Jet Aviation’s Palm Beach, FL;
Boston/Bedford, MA; and St. Louis facilities.
A most welcome feature of the FBO is the full-service
bar and restaurant serving lunch and dinner menus. In
addition, the facility offers guests a VIP customer
lounge, a conference room and private business rooms
with wireless Internet connections. Crew members
will enjoy a state-of-the-art flight planning room with
high-speed Internet access, WSI weather and Flight
Tracker, as well as a pilot’s lounge and sleep room.

WORLD CUP KICK-OFF FOR JET AVIATIONDUSSELDORF EXECUTIVE FBO
Jet Aviation Dusseldorf’s new executive FBO kicked off
for business in style this June – just in time for the
World Cup. Guests at the opening ceremony included
the lord mayor of the state capital of Dusseldorf,
Joachim Erwin, the chairman of the supervisory board
of Flughafen Dusseldorf GmbH, Dr. Peter Noé and
the CEO of the Jet Aviation Group, Heinz Köhli.
Says Johannes Turzer, senior vice president and
general manager of Jet Aviation Dusseldorf, “We are
happy that we were able to open our new FBO
building in time for the World Cup.” The terminal was
extremely valuable for travelers during that period
thanks to its close proximity to World Cup stadiums in
Cologne, Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen.
The two-story building is located at Dusseldorf’s
international airport and offers in-house immigration
and customs clearance. Managed by Frank Kusserow,
the FBO features comfortable lounges, conference
rooms and offices, and the latest in state-of-the-art
communications equipment. Turzer says, “Business
aviation traffic at Dusseldorf International Airport is
growing and our operations will meet our clients’
demands for more individualized services. The new
facility is a gateway for other services offered in
Dusseldorf that include maintenance, avionics and
refurbishment”.

FIFTY PERCENT MORE AIRCRAFT HANDLINGAT JET AVIATION DALLAS FBO
Jet Aviation’s facility at Dallas Love Field has enjoyed
record growth in 2006. Since the beginning of this
year, the FBO registered an increase of 50 percent in
aircraft and passenger handling and fuel sales.
Jet Aviation is one of seven FBO providers at Love
Field, however, it is the only facility that is located
right at the main entrance to the airport and offers
convenient and fast access to downtown Dallas.
“It is down to one thing pure and simple. Service.
Customer service is at the heart of everything we do
here at Dallas. Of course, our sales and marketing
efforts have contributed to this success as well, but our
attention to detail is what continues to build client
loyalty,” said Thomas Rimml, senior vice president and
general manager, Jet Aviation Dallas. “We are also
seeing many first time clients thanks to word of mouth
recommendations from pilots and passengers who
have enjoyed our excellent services,” adds
Al McIntyre, FBO manager for Jet Aviation Dallas.
Another reason for the increase in aircraft traffic at the
Dallas location is its around-the-clock service
offerings when the facility widened its maintenance
support last year to 24/7. This has helped to
significantly reduce aircraft
downtime on scheduled
inspections and clients
benefit from 24-hour
coverage for unscheduled
work on Citation, King Air,
Hawker, Learjet and Falcon
aircraft.

Jet Aviation has strengthened its group management
team at the company’s worldwide headquarters in
Zurich, Switzerland.
As of mid February 2007, André Wall will become the
new COO for Jet Aviation’s EMEA (Europe, Middle
East, Africa), Asian and South American operations.
Since 2003, the company’s CEO Heinz Köhli has
performed the dual roles of CEO and COO and
André Wall’s appointment will free Köhli’s time to
oversee the rapidly expanding company.
The newly appointed COO holds an engineering
degree from the TFH Technical University in Berlin.
Wall worked for eight years for Rolls-Royce
AeroEngines in Germany and the UK where he was
program manager for Canadair products. His duties
also included heading up the manufacturing,
engineering, quality assurance and engine assembly
divisions. Wall went on to become logistics director
before moving to Toyota Motorsport, where he was
general manager of procurement and production. His
last appointment before joining Jet Aviation was as
president and chief executive officer of MTU
Maintenance in Berlin.
André Wall joins a dynamic team, which was further
bolstered by the appointment of Dr. Hartwig
Grevener this August. Before joining Jet Aviation,
Grevener was the European CFO of the airline
catering company Gate Gourmet. He is a graduate of
the University of Technology in Berlin, Germany in
Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering.
Grevener held various senior financial positions in the
transportation industry in the past and began his
career in the German branch of the U.S. consulting
firm A.T. Kearney before his appointment as Head of
Group Financial Planning & Analysis in 1998 with
Hapag-Lloyd in Hamburg.
“I am delighted to welcome André Wall and Hartwig
Grevener to the Jet Aviation family. They have joined
us at an exciting time as our company expands and I
am positive they will make valuable contributions to
our future development,” says Köhli.

SKYLLIANCE — A PROGRAM FOR THE BENEFITOF CHARTER CLIENTS AND OPERATORS
At this year’s EBACE in Geneva, Jet Aviation
introduced a new brand in the charter industry —
Skylliance. The program was launched to expand
Jet Aviation’s scope of charter service offerings.
Skylliance is an alliance of high-quality charter
operators and aircraft following stringent service
standards defined by Jet Aviation.
Partner operators benefit from additional charter
revenue and immediate savings on fuel and insurance
premiums because of Jet Aviation’s worldwide
purchasing power. Additionally, all partners have
reduced handling and labor fees at the company’s FBO
and maintenance facilities. Clients enjoy the luxury of
consistent and high-quality service standards from the
Skylliance team.
During this summer, the program was fine-tuned to
meet all requirements for a premium brand and to
design an attractive service package for charter clients
and operators. Currently, Skylliance has a fleet of
twelve aircraft including a Citation CJ1 and CJ2,
Citation Bravo, Learjet 45, Citation Excel, Falcon
900EX and one DC-8-72 that are operated by
Executive Airlines in Spain, Silver Cloud Air in
Germany and Jet Aviation.
“Starting with the fall 2006 season, more and more
flights will be operated under the Skylliance brand to
support Jet Aviation’s charter operation,” says Martin
Bernegger, senior vice president and general manager
of Jet Aviation’s EMEA charter operation. “Charter
clients will soon become familiar with the new look of
the program since the Skylliance logo will be visible
on all aircraft and on crew uniforms and other on-
board items,” adds Bernegger. Negotiations with
additional operators in the U.K., France, Greece,
Latvia and Switzerland are well underway and new
partners and aircraft are expected to soon join the
Skylliance program.

The business of human resources is becoming more
complex, especially in today’s fast growing field of
corporate aviation. Jet Professionals, the aviation
staffing division of Jet Aviation, has been successful in
assisting corporate flight departments and smaller
flight operations during the employee hiring process
for the past three decades.
The company maintains an extensive roster of
maintenance, avionics, completions, engineering,
design, dispatch, scheduling and aerospace and
defense personnel for just about any employment need
in the aviation field. Additionally, Jet Professionals has
a large database of contract crew members available
for flight departments which have immediate and
short term staffing requirements. Raymond Stebler
who recently joined the company as new director of
staffing solutions explains, “Whether clients want to
conduct a confidential search for an executive, or are
looking to staff up their operation with flight
attendants, pilots or mechanics, we have the capability
and expertise to assist them.”
For flight departments that are concerned about tax
issues, insurance coverage, and other legal risks and
liabilities when hiring staff members, the company
offers business process outsourcing (BPO) services,
such as insurance compliance, payroll and income tax
withholding and benefits administration. As an
example, the company currently manages an entire
group of flight attendants for a large company
operating a Boeing 767. Jet Professionals reviews and
qualifies candidates, is in charge of the payroll and
benefits and, will now also add pilot recruitment to
these services, as requested by the client.
“As an aviation staffing company, we are constantly
staying informed of new regulations and keeping up
with the changes as they
occur,” says Stebler and
adds, “Flight departments,
and also employees who are
searching for quality jobs in
the aviation industry, are
depending on our expertise
and capabilities to find the
perfect professional match
between employer and
employee.”

Jet Aviation has signed multiple
agreements for management and
flight support services within the last
few months and has also added 22
aircraft to its worldwide managed fleet
which currently numbers close to 200.
There are important reasons why
owners and operators are choosing
these Jet Aviation services. In a flight
support program, Jet Aviation
becomes the extended “arm” of a pilot or flight
department, while the owner or operator retains full
control of the aircraft and is free to select the aviation
support services best suited to meet his specific needs.
The program can also generate cost savings for the
aircraft owner or operator on essential services such as
fuel and insurance premiums, using the advantage of
the Jet Aviation fleet discount.
In a full aircraft management agreement, an aircraft
owner turns his complete day-to-day flight operations
over to the company, which then acts in the best
interest of the client, as if Jet Aviation were the owner
of the aircraft. 24-hour dispatch, maintenance
coordination, crew handling and administrative
services are included in a yearly fee, based on aircraft
type and average flight hours. All other costs are
invoiced without markups or handling fees of any
kind. Jet Aviation’s fleet discount for fuel, insurance,
crew training, ground handling and travel

Jet Aviation’s Privileged TRAVELTM jet card program
has collaborated with The National Heart, Lung, and
Blood Institute (NHLBI) to highlight the issue of
heart disease in women. NHLBI's national education
campaign, The Heart Truth was instituted to raise
awareness of the illness. In support of the cause,
Jet Aviation has created a special Privileged TRAVEL
card featuring the campaign’s symbol, the Red Dress.
Five percent of the sale price from every card sold
will go directly to WomenHeart: the National
Coalition for Women with Heart Disease.
“With heart disease being the number one women’s
health concern, we chose to support the charity for
its ground-breaking work in highlighting this
important issue,” said Bob Seidel, senior vice
president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s
charter services in the U.S.
Jet Aviation aimed to produce the most flexible jet
card program on the market with Privileged
TRAVEL, creating the first plan offering a 10-hour
introductory card. The card also guarantees aircraft
availability in 10, 25, 50 or 100 occupied hour
increments across a wide selection of aircraft and
provides the possibility of earning 40% bonus hours
on certain trips.
There are three different Privileged TRAVEL cards
available: Classic for 4-12 passengers traveling
domestically between 1,000-3,000 nautical miles;
Elegance for 5-12 passengers flying domestically or
internationally within a 1,400-4,400 nautical mile
range; and Avant-Garde for 6-16 passengers traveling
domestically or internationally within a 2,000-6,000
nautical mile range.

Basel – Jet Aviation Basel has
completed the first fully certified C2

system upgrade on a Gulfstream
G550. This project involved
replacing several main PC-boards
and all cockpit display units. In
addition, major wiring changes were
performed before a full LAN check
could be completed.
Finally, the new main system
software was reloaded. “The most
rewarding part of this job was when
our engineers performed the final
system check and realized that all
the systems were functioning
correctly,” said Rudi Kurz, deputy
director maintenance center.

“The POA approval was a necessity
for Jet Aviation Basel to better serve
our customers. We are now able to
send owners and operators requested
replacement parts so they do not
need to fly over to us,” says Rainer
Albecker, Basel’s senior vice president

FIRST MIDDLEEASTERN GULFSTREAM
REPAIR FACILITY
Dubai – Jet Aviation Dubai has
become the first and only authorized
Gulfstream repair facility in the
region. This offers Gulfstream
operators a convenient location in the
Middle East, as previously they had
to travel to Singapore or Europe to
service their aircraft.
The agreement with Gulfstream is
especially valuable in AOG situations.
Operators no longer have to wait for
technicians or parts to be flown in
and it is now possible to resolve a
situation within a day. The facility
can perform heavy maintenance,
repair and warranty work on
Gulfstream 300, 400, GIV and GV
aircraft.

was planning to bring the 715-year
old Swiss Federal Charter, known as
the “Schweizer Bundesbrief” to the
National Constitution Center in
Philadelphia, Jet Aviation was quick

document from 1291 which had
never been exhibited outside of
Switzerland was brought to
Philadelphia from John F. Kennedy
Airport in New York aboard a
highly-secured Jet Aviation flight
on a Hawker 800.
The exhibition named “Sister
Republics” highlighted the close
constitutional similarities between
the United States and Switzerland.
The “Schweizer Bundesbrief” was
the focal point of the exhibition.
