310 GOOGLE ANALYTICSIntegration of Google Analytics into Weebly
Get started… Log in to your Weebly site
1) Select Settings > 2) select SEO > 3) HOLD > 4) open a new tab in your browser
1. Open a new browser tab and go to www.google.com/analytics
2. Click "SIGN IN" in the top right > choose “Analytics” at the top of the pull-down menu

1. Type in your name for Account Name
2. Type in the name of your website
3. Copy/paste your blog website URL into the field (remove “HTTP”)
4. Select an industry from the pulldown menu - or select "other" if none of the ones listed are appropriate for your site

2. Leave the boxes checked and click
3. Get Tracking ID button

You are now on the “Administration” page within “Property” and “Tracking Code”

Select the code, CTRL > C to copy code, then switch back to your Weebly page in the Settings > SEO mode
1. Switch over to the tab where Weebly/SEO is open and paste (right click or CTRL>V) your website tracking code into the “Header Code” field
2. Below the “Header Code” field make sure that the “Hide site from search engines” button is in the “OFF” position
3. Still, in Weebly – click Save > Publish
4. Switch over to the tab where Google Analytics is open

Copy/paste “Global site tag” from Google Analytics to the Header Code frame in Weebly

1. Switch over to the tab where Google Analytics is open
2. To see your site in the Google Analytics platform. Go to http://www.google.com/analytics/. Click Sign In and assuming you never logged out - your site Dashboard should appear. It will take a couple of days for an activity to show so check again in 48 hours.
3. How do you know if it is integrated and functioning properly?...
a) Sign in to Google Analytics
b) Go to Audience > Overview
c) If you see numbers above “0” in Users, New Users, Sessions, etc. – you are good to go!
4. If you only see “0’s” – let your instructor know so he/she can help troubleshoot
