Preparation for NodeB Commissioning� Prerequisites at NodeB side

� The NodeB hardware passes the installation check

� Checking the DIP switch setting of WMPT, WTRP

� The NodeB is powered on

� The data configuration file is ready

� Prerequisites at RNC side

� The RNC connected to the NodeB works well

� The data of the NodeB to be commissioned has been

configured in RNC


Preparation for NodeB Commissioning� Selecting commissioning modes

� Local commissioning

� The transmission is unavailable

� Perform NodeB commissioning on site with LMT

� Remote commissioning

� The transmission is available

� The O&M channel between RNC and NodeB works properly

� Perform NodeB commissioning remotely through M2000

Procedure for NodeB Commissioning

� Step 1: Logging in to NodeB through the LMT

� Set the IP address of the LMT PC

� The default NodeB local maintenance IP address is 17.21.2.15

� Connect the LMT PC to the Ethernet Port on WMPT board



� Step 2: Checking the current NodeB BootRom and software

version

� A, if NodeB BootRom and software in active directory are the

right version to be used, then keep the software

� B, If the right BootRom version is stored in the standby

directory, activate it. Otherwise download the right BootRom

version and activate it

� C, if the right software version is stored in the standby directory,

activate it. Otherwise download the right software version and

activate it



� Step 3: Downloading the NodeB data configuration file

� The file name of the NodeB data configuration file must be

NodeBCfg.xml

� After the download is finished, reset the NodeB to make the

configuration file work



� Step 4: Handling alarms during NodeB commissioning

� Step 5: Checking the running state of the NodeB

� Checking SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol)

� Checking the status of a cell

� Measuring RTWP

� Monitoring the output power of the NodeB

� Step 6: Initially activating the NodeB license

� Step 7: Recording NodeB information in data sheet



� Step 8: Commissioning the NodeB RET antenna (If RET is

used)

� Preparation for the RET antenna commissioning

� Data configuration file of the RET antenna

� Vendor code and type of the NodeB RET antenna

� Tilt of the RET antenna to be commissioned

� Step 9: Commissioning the TMA (If TMA is used)
