COMPANY PROFILE: 3-MANNA’S LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY

22 August 2013

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

3-MANNA’S Leadership and Development Agency was formally registered April 2012. The founder/Director

Dr Noncedo P.D. Khewu started operating informally as a private facilitator from 2004 and services

rendered also entailed education, research, psychosocial services and management and leadership. 3-M’s

was initiated after the following gaps were identified:

Research (Porteus, 2010 & Khewu, 2012) has found that most school leaders mainly concentrate

on administrative issues (compliance) and there is less emphasis on leadership, i.e. inspiring

ownership and commitment by all role players.

Organisations are undergoing a process of constant change and due to that change related hitches

manifest. To create winning organisations, the development of a moral and performance culture is a

requisite.

Intervention strategies to address developmental gaps are not informed by research and there is a

skills gap with relation to research, both for academic students and organisations. To guarantee the

effectiveness of intervention strategies, research based programmes are essential.

To create a favourable social, physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, mental and economic

environment it is imperative that counselling and psychosocial support services be provided to

assist individuals, groups, communities and governments to take charge of their roles and

responsibilities to fulfil their plans and destinies.
