In the Navigation Pane, select the Swimming Classes table. 3. Display the External Data tab, and then, in the Export group, click Excel. In the displayed Export dialog box, click Browse, and then in the File Save dialog box, navigate to your Access Chapter 8 folder. In the File name box, type Lastname_Firstname_a08_Aquatics_ Classes and then click Save. 4. In the displayed Export – Excel Spreadsheet dialog box, under Specify export options, select the Export data with formatting and layout check box, and then select the Open the destination file after the export operation is complete check box. 6. Exit Excel.

7. In Access, in the Export - Excel Spreadsheet dialog box, select the Save exportsteps check box.

8. In the displayed Save as box, replace the existing text with Export SwimmingClasses Press F. In the Description box, type Exports the table to Excel withformatting preserved Compare your screen with Figure 2.

9. In the Export - Excel Spreadsheet dialog box, click Save Export.

10. In the Navigation Pane, double-click the Swimming Classes table.

11. In the record with Event ID 1023, use the Date Picker to change the date to Saturday,June 30, 2012. Press F, and then compare your screen with Figure 3.

12. Close the table. On the External Data tab, in the Export group, click Saved Exports,and then compare your screen with Figure 4.

The Manage Data Tasks dialog box lists all saved import steps and all saved export steps.

13. With Export Swimming Class Table selected, click the Run button.

14. Read the displayed message, and then click Yes to update the existing file. Read the next displayed message, and then click Yes to replace the existing file.

The Excel file opens with the new data for the record with Event ID 1023.

15. Exit Excel. In Access, read the displayed message, and then click OK.

16. Click Start , and then click All Programs. Click to open the Accessories folder, and thenclick Snipping Tool.

17. In the displayed Snipping Tool program, click the New button arrow, and then click Full-screen Snip.

18. Click the Save Snip button . Navigate to your Access Chapter 8 folder, Save the file as Lastname_Firstname_a08_Aquatics_Snip and then Exit the Snipping Tool mark-upwindow.

19. In the Manage Data Tasks dialog box, click Close.

20. Exit Access, and then submit as directed by your instructor.
