Uloom al-Quran is a comprehensive term which covers all importanttopics relating to the History of the Quran like, The Revelation of theQuran in various phases, The ways it was revealed ,Seven Readings,Abrogation, collection, Preservations, and Arrangements of Suras andits Verses etc. Classical and modern Muslim Scholars have not onlydiscussed all these topics cited above in their books on Uloom al-Quranbut also have written separate books on each topic. Since Orientalistsrealized the supreme importance of the Quran in the sight of Muslimsthey began to raise questions with regard to its history. In response toit Muslim Scholars wrote voluminous literature on the History of TheQuran in which the authenticity and veracity of the Quran in the lightof the Traditions of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and The Athars of theCompanions of The Prophet (SAW) has been discussed. In thisresearch paper three important topics about History of The Quranlike, Revelation of The Quran, collection and Arrangements of itsSuras and its Verses, and Seven Readings have been under taken in thelight of Narratives of Musnad Ahmad.
