For over 19 years, the Academy of International Dance has trained children in classical ballet and has been successful teaching students to reach point level. But it all starts with beginning ballet classes. BAILE FOLKLORICO ADVANCEAges 5 - 15 yrsParticipants will learn the advance choreographed steps of Mexican regional dances. Curriculum will consist of the mastering of footwork and utilization of props such as fans, bottles, fans and cups. Additional dances of various regions of Mexico will be explored. Solo and group dances will be performed for the City of Santa Ana public events, throughout the year such as Fiestas Patrias, Fiestas Navideñas etc. Participants must have previous experience and instructor approval is required prior to enrolling. Additional costs will be incurred for practice skirts, shoes and performance costumes and a list is pro-vided with options to where to purchase. There is an additional cost for material fee for events or supplies needed the month of special events. Bilingual Instruction is available.
