ethmoid bone and parts of frontal ,temporal and occipital bone

THORACIC CAVITY

Situated in upper part of trunk Boundaries Anteriorly sternum and costal cartilages Laterally ribs with muscles Posteriorly Thoracic vertebrae and intervertebral disc Superiorly structures forming root of neck Inferiorly diaphragm

CONTENTS Lungs Root of neck mediastinum

ABDOMINAL CAVITY Largest, oval shaped Superiorly diaphragm Anteriorly muscles Posteriorly Lumber vertebrae Laterally lower ribs and muscles Inferiorly pelvic cavity

PELVIC CAVITY Funnel shaped Superiorly abd. Cavity Anteriorly pubic bones Posteriorly sacrum and coccyx Laterally innominate bones Inferiorly pelvic floor
