Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. How Will You Live?

With spring happening and summer right around the corner how

will you find yourself “living” during these two seasons of the

year? I would hope the way you live is pretty consistent no

matter what the season of the year might be. Do you find yourself

living with that “sum tertius” attitude; God first, others second,

myself last? I certainly pray that is the way you live. I think, as

Christians, we are to be living a generous lifestyle. Generous with

our time, our talents, and of course our money. Malachi 3:10

says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be

food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see

if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so

much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” Just the

thought of God throwing open the floodgates of heaven and telling

me there is not enough room for His blessing gets me excited and

allows me to not keep such a tight grip on my time, my talent or

my money. Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A

good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over,

will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will

be measured to you.” Are you a tightwad with your time, talent

and money? As I look at this verse I realize that God is a bigger

giver than I would ever hope to be. There is no way a person can

out-give God. So cut loose and see what God can do! One last

scripture and that is found in 2 Corinthians 9:6 where it says,

“Remember this:

Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and

whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

I want to encourage you to plant seeds of generosity wherever you

go. As a servant of the Most High God be generous in His service

with your time, talent and money! Have a wonderful spring!

Patti and I are looking forward to it.

Blessings,

Notes from the Worship Ministry

Looking for inspiration?

Our worship team at Rocklane Christian Church is made up of more

than 60 volunteers and staff. All of the team members work very hard

in order to accomplish two things. Our first goal is and always will be

to honor God and bring attention to what He is doing in our lives.

Our second goal involves helping our faith family experience a life-

style of worship that goes beyond the front doors.

Often times we look for inspiration in not only music but books,

speakers and other places where we can see God move. Below are

some of our favorites. We hope that you check them out and that

they inspire you to worship.

What inspires us?
