a) Utility Allowance to STEVTAemployees may be allowed at the rateadmissible to the Sindh CivilSecretariat employees under theterms and conditions prescribedtherein.

b) The Authority Allowance alreadybeing drawn by STEVTA employeesmay be enhanced to the extent andequivalent to the rate (i.e. 50% ofrunning basic pay) of SecretariatAllowance admissible to Sindh CivilSecretariat Employees.

08 Extension of MoUwith FamilyEducation SystemServices'Foundation(FESF) for 05years for Sukkur &ShaheedBenazirabadunder PublicPrivatePartnership.

Managing Director informed that twoMoUs were signed between FESF andSTEVTA under PPP to impart educationto deaf students at GovernmentMonotechnic InstituL (Women) ShaheedBenazirabad and GovernmentVocational Institute (Boys) Sukkur in2012 & 2013, whi ~h have now beenexpired. The FESF has requested forextension of MoUs on same terms andconditions for further 05 years.

The Board members appreciated theperformance of Fi',=SF towards deafstudents at Govt. Monotechnic Institute(W), Shaheed Benazirabad and Govt.Vocational Institute (B), Golimar Sukkurand agreed to reflew the MoUs foranother period of fixe years, and furtherproposed to extend same facility to otherdivisional headquarters

The representative from MUET advisedto take an assessment from NationalTechnology Council (NTC) in addition tomeet the standards of all forums.Further; he suggested that theequipment for demonstration purposemay be purchased from localmanufacturers or the spare equipmentmay be shifted from other institutes ofSTEVTA (if availablr).

The representative from Social WelfareDepartment advised to meet theexpenses in strict compliance of SPPRArules, guidelines and considering themarket values/rates.,

However, an input given by Rep. SocialWelfare Dept to seek the input ofFinance was overruled by Chairman,STEVTA as unnecessary as the BoGhas to decide the matters in accordancewith its powers conferred upon it bySTEVTA Act by majority of votes ofparticipating members (subject toquorum). Further, Secretary Financewas invited being ox-officio member, butneither he himself / nor his Rep attendedthe meeting.
