Function Description This feature enables the BSC to adjust the transmit power of the BTS

according to the link quality of the Um interface. In this way, the desirable

link quality can be ensured without requiring the maximum power on the

PDCH. The reduced transmit power of the BTS helps decrease the

interference in the network and lower the power consumption of the BTS.

This feature lowers the BTS transmit power without compromising the link

quality. In this way, the network interference and power consumption can be

reduced, while the system capacity can be increased.
