Area Economic Profi le◆ U.S. 36 Denver/Boulder corridor—Colorado’s
emerging version of Silicon Valley: The corridor, is comprised of approximately 66 percent of communications or technology tenants and area has been the hub of high-tech employment in the Denver area for the last 30 years.
◆ The U.S. 36 Corridor is responsible for nearly 17% of the region’s business and employment.
◆ Area is home to some of the leading companies in the world including: IBM, Level Three Communications, Oracle and Ball Corporation.
◆ By 2035, population along the U.S. 36 Corridor is expected to increase by 28% while employment increases 53%.
