My name is Karolina Kus.
I come from Poland and
I am 22 years old.
I live in Bielsko – Biała in south
of my country.
I currently live in Horsens
and I am studying
on the basis of Erasmus Program.
At my home university
I finished 6 semesters
of my higher education and now
I have a chance to be here as a part of
my practical placement.
Mother: Renata Kus
Father: Jacek Kus
My mother works in publishing house which
publish law books. She is the head of sales
but also deals with advertising.
My dad works in a Fiat factory .
He takes care of the appropriate transport
and good storage organization.
Sister: Paulina Kus
My sister attend high
school. She is 18. She
spends a lot of time on
learning because she
wants to be a dentist. She
is interested in learning
Italian and belly dancing.
Since, I end my secondary school, I have always been interested In mathematics, but also In drawing and other types of design. I made my own jewelry and attended in many drawing lessons.
During my education in high school I found some information about two faculties combined (engineering and architecture). I was very excited because of it because it was the best combination for me. I decided to study at Silesian University of Technology. I ended 6 semesters there, and then I got a possibility of taking part in exchange – Erasmus Program because of my good notes. Normally at 7th semester each student should have the practice in the building company so I took part in volunteering and went for a week to Auschwitz, where I was preparing documentation and making measurement of the buildings which are in this concentration camp. After that I decided to study in Denmark due to better perspective for the future, improve my language skills and learn something about prefabricated elements because it isn’t very popular in my country yet. Now I know that the Constructing Architect program was really good choice because I met all my expectations and also learned a lot of useful information in the field of management.

Polish: Very good in reading, speaking and writing;
English: Very good in writing and reading, good in speaking;
Computer skills: I have been working in various kind of programs
and I am good in Microsoft Office Word 2007, Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007. Moreover, I can
work with Auto CAD, Revit and Google Sketch Up 6 and a lot of
different constructing, installation and economy programs.
I have always loved to travel. Since I was a little kid my parents
take me to different trips. I live at south Poland where I have
excellent access to the mountains so almost each weekend I
traveled with my parents and sister to the nearest tops and
forests. This trips made a lot of opportunities to taking pictures.
My father always learn me how to make good pictures and that is
the reason why photography is also my small “interest”.
Another thing that takes a lot of my time is making jeweler. I
order large quantities of beads and then I am spending long hours
on making new patterns of earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
I also really like drawing so I took part in some courses when I
was in high school. Likewise I am interested in horse riding. My
aunt has got horse stud, so I spent a lot of time there when I was
a child.
I am really ambitious person. I am not sure if it is always strong
point because sometimes it really complicate a lot of things. I set
myself high goals and I always try to pursue them. I can spend
long hours to solve the problem. I can work well under pressure,
work effectively independently and equally as a part of a team and
I also have an eye for details, ensuring quality and accuracy.
In other hand I don’t like to ask people about advices. I prefer to
solve problems in my own. It isn’t good because sometimes I need
much more time to do something, but I still think that when I do
something in my own I will learn more.
My main aim is to improve my English and learn how to work with
people from different countries who have different point of view,
different ways to solve the problems etc. I also want to learn new
programs and get information about prefabricated elements
which aren’t so popular in my country nowadays.
