SCHOOL NEWS:

FREE MEALS FOR ALL STUDENTS: ALL students at Our Lady of the Snows School are able to receive FREE lunch through DESE Seamless Summer Option and the USDA/Covid for the 2021-22 academic year. If your child does not attend OLOS School, you may request to pick up a free lunch for any child age 1 to 18. If you wish to order meals for children not enrolled in OLOS School, contact OLOS before 8:15 am daily at 573-498-3574 to request the meals. Meal pickup will be at 11:30 am at the side parking lot nearest the kitchen (below M. H. bank).

After their use in the parade and at the concert, we have noticed that many of the school Christmas costumes are in need of repair. We are looking for volunteers who like to sew to look over the costumes and fix them (if possible). Thank you for your consideration!

The January School Board will be held on Sun., Jan. 9, following the 10:00 am Mass at 11:15 am in the Cougar Cafe.

The January Home & School Association meeting will be on Tues., Jan. 11, beginning at 6:00 pm with a potluck dinner. The agenda will include final details for the Shiloh Dance, suggestions for Catholic Schools Week activities, and input for our next two major projects, the early childhood playground installation & the security system.

All are invited to the Shiloh Dance on Sat., Jan. 15! We hope lots of you plan to join us for a great evening of music and dancing!

Please mark your calendars for the afternoon of Fri., Apr. 22, as we are planning a fun reunion for all former staff members of Our Lady of the Snows School!

There will be NO School on Mon., Jan. 17, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday.

Staff Spotlight-Our Lady of the Snows School is very blessed to have such devoted, hard-working, and experienced staff members who have dedicated their careers to the children and families of Our Lady of the Snows community. We will spotlight a different staff member in the bulletin each week. This week's spotlight is on Gracie Evers, our morning caregiver in the extended care program. "Hi, my name is Gracie Evers, and my hometown is Mary's Home! I am 18 years old, and I live with my parents and both of my siblings. I have an older sister, Arianna, age 22 and a younger brother, Braden who is 12. I graduated from Our Lady of the Snows School, Mary's Home, in 2018, and I am now a senior at Cole R-V High School in Eugene. I have worked at Marshall's & HyVee. Now I work at Grub and Scrub in addition to working at OLOS every school morning from 6:30-7:30 am. I like to spend time with my family and friends when I am not working. I choose to work at OLOS because I love little kids, and I know what a great school this is. I also love how small it is. My favorite thing about working at OLOS is seeing all of the kids. They always have something new to tell me!"
